James Proche

PRO: The Titans signed James Proche II early in the 2025 offseason to add experience to the wide receiver room and as a special teams playmaking threat. The 5-foot-11-inch, 193-pounder entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in 2020. The Dallas, Texas, native has appeared in 62 games over his five-year NFL career, serving primarily as a punt returner during his time with the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.

• In 2020, Proche II was named to PFWA All-Rookie Team as a punt returner.

• Proche was mentored by Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders. He spent two years at Prime Prep Academy (Texas), co-founded by Sanders, before transferring to DeSoto (Texas) High School for his senior year.
• Proche's nickname is "Channel 3" which originates from his favorite number, 3, and his desire to "put on a show" when playing.
• Proche is an avid photographer.

COLLEGE:
• Proche played in 50 games over five seasons (2015-19) at Southern Methodist University and set multiple school records. Proche set career records for receiving touchdowns, career receptions, career receiving yards, career all-purpose yards (4,996), season receiving touchdowns (15) and consecutive games with a reception touchdowns (12).
• As a senior (2019), started all 13 games and registered an FBS-leading 111 receptions. Led the Mustangs with 1,225 yards (13th NCAA) and 15 touchdowns (4th NCAA). Ranked second nationally in receptions per game with 8.5. Had a team-leading 1,423 all-purpose yards. Was second on the team in scoring with 92 points. Led the Mustangs with 17 punt returns for 164 yards.
• As a junior (2018), led the AAC and was in the top-12 in the FBS in multiple statistical categories including fifth in receptions per game (8), eighth in receiving touchdowns (12), 10th in receiving yards per game (100) and 12th in receiving yards (1,199 yards).
• As a sophomore (2017), played in all 13 games with nine starts. Was third on the team with 40 receptions for 816 yards and six touchdowns. Tallied three kick returns for 50 yards and one punt return for six yards. Finished fifth on the team with 872 all-purpose yards. Connected on an 86-yard pass from Ben Hicks against Central Florida, tied for sixth longest pass play at Southern Methodist University.
• As a redshirt freshman (2016), played in all 12 games and started in eight. Was one of three Mustangs (Braeden West and Courtland Sutton) with at least 1,000 all-purpose yards after finishing with 1,044 total yards. Finished second on the team in receptions (57), receiving yards (709) and touchdown receptions (6). Named honorable mention Freshman All-American by Campus Insiders and American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Role.
• As a true freshman (2015), redshirted.
• Graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in sociology.

PERSONAL:
• Attended DeSoto (Texas) High School, during his senior year where he was a four-star ESPN recruit. Ranked the nation's No. 38 wideout and the No. 52 player in Texas by ESPN.com. A member of the Dallas Morning News Area Top 100, coming in at No. 33. Ranked as the No. 8 wideout in Texas by Dave Campbell's Texas Football.
• Caught 18 passes for 335 yards and a score in just seven games in 2014. Also had 15 punt returns for 227 yards and another score
