Biography

PRO: The Titans signed Mitchell Trubisky early in the 2026 free agency period to add veteran leadership and experience to the quarterback room. The 6-foot-3-inch, 222-pounder was originally selected by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft and spent his first four NFL campaigns with the club (2017-20). The University of North Carolina product has also spent time with the Buffalo Bills (2021, 2024-25) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (2022-23). In his first nine seasons in the NFL, Trubisky appeared in 82 regular season games with 57 starts and completed 1,244 of 1,933 passes for 13,028 yards with 78 touchdowns for a 86.9 passer rating.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• In 2018, Trubisky was named to the Pro Bowl after starting 14 games and compiling an 11-3 record as a starter. He completed 289 of 434 passes for 3,223 yards with 24 touchdowns.

COLLEGE:
• Played in 34 games with 13 starts for North Carolina, completing 386 of 572 passes for 4,762 yards with 41 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in three playing seasons (2014-16). Added 439 rushing yards with eight touchdowns.
• Finished his Tarheels career ranked fifth in passing touchdowns (41), sixth in passing yards (4,762) and seventh in total offense (5,201).
• As a junior (2016), started all 13 games in his first season as a starter for the Tar Heels. Set UNC single-season records for passing yards (3,748), passing touchdowns (30) and total offense (4,056) while completing 304 of 477 passes. Had seven games with three or more passing touchdowns. Added 308 rushing yards on 93 attempts with five rushing scores. Set the multi-game school record with 30 consecutive completions over two games (last 18 vs. JMU; first 12 vs. Pitt); also set the school record for most passing yards in consecutive games with 885 (432 vs. JMU; 453 vs. Pitt).
• As a sophomore (2015), appeared in nine games and completed 40 of 47 passes for 555 yards with six touchdowns. Rushed 16 times for 101 yards with three scores. Did not thrown an interception on the year
• As a redshirt freshman (2014), appeared in 10 games and connected on 42 of 78 passes for 459 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions. Rushed 11 times for 30 yards. Named to the 2014 All-ACC Academic Team.
• As a freshman (2013), redshirted.
• Graduated with a degree in exercise and sports science from North Carolina in the spring of 2024.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Mentor (Ohio) High School and was named 2012 Mr. Football in the state of Ohio by the Associated Press and honorable mention Parade All-America.
• Ranked among the top 10 passers in Ohio High School history with 9,126 yards with 92 touchdowns. Rushed for 1,559 career yards and 33 touchdowns, averaging 4.1 per carry.
• Was the most prolific passer in the Greater Cleveland area, becoming the first quarterback to pass for more than 9,000 career yards and more than 4,000 yards as a senior.
• Was rated the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback by 247Sports.com and the No. 3 player in Ohio
• As a senior (2012), passed for 4,063 yards with 42 touchdowns, including 1,593 in four playoff games.
• Served as Mentor's punter in 2012 and posted a 40.8-yard gross average.
• Married to his wife Hillary and the couple has a son named Hudson and a daughter named Mila.
