TRAINING CAMP PREVIEW: QUARTERBACKS

In camp (4): Cam Ward, Mitchell Trubisky, Will Levis, Hendon Hooker.

Player to watch: Cam Ward. Heading into Year 2, all eyes will be on Ward when training camp begins. Ward ended the 2025 season on a high note, as his completion percentage and touchdowns went up while his interceptions went down. But a lot has transpired since – Ward has a new head coach (Robert Saleh), a new offensive coordinator (Brian Daboll), and new quarterbacks coach (Shea Tierney), along with a bunch of new faces around him on the offensive side of the football. The Titans need Ward to keep making strides as the team looks to do the same around him.

What I've seen so far: Ward had some ups and downs during the offseason, but that shouldn't have come as a big surprise with all the changes around him. One shaky week of OTAs generated a lot of buzz, but Ward ended the offseason on a high note. In the seven OTAs that were open to media, Ward completed 93-of-161 passes, with three picks. … Trubisky missed a few OTAs early following the birth of his second child, but when he returned, he lit it up. Trubisky completed 78-of-97 in the five OTAs open to reporters. He was sharp, and in command. … Levis was 68-of-105 in the seven open OTAs, with five interceptions. He made some great throws, but also some bad ones. … Hooker's work was more limited as the offseason went on, and I counted just 25 passes thrown from him in the 7-on-7 and team drills during the open practices.

What I think the Titans need to see in camp: A more consistent Ward, and someone who is even more confident heading into the season. Ward will get plenty of opportunities in training camp, joint practices and preseason games. During the course of the offseason, it was clear Ward was building better chemistry with his receivers, especially with Wan'Dale Robinson. The Titans want to see this continue with Robinson, Carnell Tate, Calvin Ridley and others. … I think Trubisky will solidify himself as the team's No.2 quarterback after looking like a savvy veteran in offseason work. … Levis, meanwhile, will do his best to convince the Titans he's worth keeping around. But will another team make the Titans a trade offer they can't refuse leading up to the season?

Next up: Running backs.
