In camp (8): Amani Hooker, Kevin Winston Jr., Tony Adams, Kendell Brooks, Erick Hallett II, Sanoussi Kane, Jerrick Reed II, Bishop Fitzgerald.
Player to watch: Kevin Winston Jr. A third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Winston never really felt right during his rookie season. He was recovering from a knee injury when he first arrived, and it limited his offseason work. Winston missed games on the front end, and back end, of the schedule as he dealt with lingering issues, and some new ones. Winston ended up playing in 10 games last season, with six starts, and he tallied 32 tackles, five passes defensed, one sack and four tackles for a loss. But again, he said he never felt right. Now, heading into Year 2, Winston feels like himself again, and his progress will be on full display during camp.
What I've seen so far: The aforementioned Winston looked fast, and as physical as a player can be in the offseason, even if sometimes by accident. Winston picked off Cam Ward one day, and was around the ball a lot. Hooker's work in the offseason was more limited, but he made his presence known when present – he also intercepted Ward, and let him know about it. Hooker was placed on the team's PUP list to start camp, but he is expected back soon. I was impressed by the veteran Adams, who began to establish himself as the third safety. Hallett had an interception during an early OTA, while Brooks, Kane, Reed and Fitzgerald competed in what's a changing secondary.
What I think the Titans need to see in camp: When Hooker is back in the mix, he and Winston will have new cornerbacks around them in the secondary, so getting on the same page from a communication standpoint will be key. Hooker is an experienced veteran who knows the drill, and camp will provide him a chance to get primed for the season. It will be a valuable camp for Winston, who didn't get to experience the day-to-day rigors a year ago. Adams is in line to be the third safety, so the battle is for the fourth safety spot. Kane, Reed and Brooks have some experience, but Fitzgerald will look to contend, and prove he can help on special teams.
