Biography
PRO: The Titans claimed Courtney Jackson off waivers in the spring of 2026 to add depth to the wide receiver and punt returning rooms. The 5-foot-11-inch, 179-pounder spent the 2025 season on the practice squad of the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks after originally being signed as a rookie free agent by the Denver Broncos following the 2025 NFL Draft. The Monroeville, Pa., native spent four seasons at Syracuse before finishing his collegiate career at Arkansas State.

• Jackson lost his mother, Jori, in 2020 due to cardiac arrest. He prays to his mother before every game, while his dad, Derrick, carries on a family tradition of sending Courtney a text two hours before kickoff with encouraging words his mother would often share.

COLLEGE:
• Played in 62 games over a six-year collegiate career which included stops at Syracuse (2019-22) and Arkansas State (2023-24). Appeared in 36 games for the Orange and totaled 63 receptions for 662 yards with four touchdowns and added nine punt returns for 123 yards with a touchdown. Transferred to Arkansas State and totaled 81 receptions for 1,183 yards with nine touchdowns and 31 punt returns for 438 yards with three touchdowns over 26 games played.
• As a graduate (2024), played in 13 games and tallied 42 receptions for 494 yards with two touchdowns. Recorded 15 punt returns for 277 yards with two touchdowns.
• As a senior (2023), appeared in 13 games for the Wolves and recorded 689 receiving yards on 39 receptions with a team-leading seven touchdowns. Was also the team's punt return specialist, finishing the year with 16 punt returns for 161 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown. Named Sun Belt Conference honorable mention.
• As a junior (2022), played in 12 games with five starts at Syracuse and totaled 15 receptions for 201 yards with one touchdown. Added three kickoff returns for 64 yards and three punt returns for 13 yards. Transferred to Arkansas State following the season.
• As a sophomore (2021), appeared in 12 games with eight starts for the Orange. Led the team with 37 catches for 389 yards with three touchdowns. Also had four rushes for 23 yards. Took over as the team's primary punt returner for the last four weeks of the season and returned three punts for 110 yards with one touchdown. Also had four kickoff returns for 78 yards. Named to Pro Football Focus' All-ACC team.
• As a redshirt freshman (2020), played in all 11 games as a slot receiver at Syracuse and tallied 10 catches for 69 yards on the season.
• As a freshman (2019), appeared in one game at Syracuse and redshirted.
• Earned his bachelor's degree in communications and rhetorical studies from Syracuse and graduated with a masters degree in science in education, school counseling from Arkansas State.
PERSONAL:
• Attended Gateway (Pa.) High School where he caught 153 passes for 3,015 yards with 47 touchdowns over his career en route to helping the Gators to a 26-3 record over his final two seasons. Was a two-time all-state selection.
• Was rated the No. 67 wide receiver in his class and the No. 5 overall prospect from Pennsylvania by ESPN. Earned All-WPIAL 5A Big East Conference fist team honors three times.
• As a senior (2018), hauled in 40 receptions for 925 yards with 20 touchdowns. Defensively, recorded 31 tackles and three interceptions.
• As a junior (2017), had 96 receptions for 1,916 yards with a state-best 24 touchdowns, including 15 receptions for 264 yards with three touchdowns in the PIAA state semifinal game.
• Also ran track and played basketball as he was named first-team all-conference as a guard.
• Son of Derrick and the late Jori Jackson. Has two brothers and one sister.
