Biography
PRO: The Titans selected Pat Coogan in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-5-inch, 310-pounder is a smart, resiliant offensive lineman known for his leaderhsip and toughness. The Palo Heights, Ill., native spent four seasons (2021-24) at Notre Dame before transferring to Indiana and winning the National Championship in his final collegiate season.
TITANS TIDBITS:
• Coogan attended the same high school as Titans' 2026 first round pick, Carnell Tate. The two would drive to morning workouts together.
• Coogan earned Rose Bowl Offensive MVP honors in the 38-3 victory against Alabama (1/1/26) and became the first offensive lineman to earn the honor since Norm Verry of Southern California in 1944.
CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Palos Heights, Ill., native was selected by the Titans in the sixth round (194th overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft.
COLLEGE:
• Started 42 of 44 games over four seasons (2021-24) at Notre Dame and one season (2025) at Indiana. Started 13 games at left guard his junior year before transitioning to center. Started all 16 games at center on the
Hoosiers 2025 National Championship team.
AS A SENIOR (2025), started all 16 games at center and was named second-team All-Big Ten by the conference media and third-team All-Big Ten by the coaches. Part of an offensive line unit that paved the way for four-straight 300-yard rushing efforts to start the season - a program-record streak and longest Power 4 stretch since Baylor in 2017. Earned Rose Bowl Offensive MVP honors and became the first offensive lineman to earn the honor since Norm Verry of Southern California in 1944.
AS A JUNIOR (2024), appeared in all 16 games and started the final 13 games at center. Guided Notre Dame to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Helped pave the way for 1,000-yard rusher Jeremiyah Love (1,125 yards; 17 TDs) and quarterback Riley Leonard (906 yards; 17 TDs) as the first Notre Dame duo with 15-plus rushing touchdowns in the same season. Paved the way for eight 100-yard rushing games.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2023), started all 13 games at left guard. Helped the Notre Dame offense finish No. 7 in program history in total offense (5,619 yards) and No. 2 in points per game (39.1) in a single season. Paved the way for seven 100-yard rushing games. Blocked for Audric Estime's 1,341 rushing yards and program-record 18 rushing touchdowns.
AS A FRESHMAN (2022), appeared in one game.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2021), did not play and redshirted.
• Graduated with a degree in American Studies from Notre Dame in December of 2024.
PERSONAL:
• Attended Marist (Ill.) High School and became a varsity starter as a sophomore. Throughout his high school career, he lined up at tackle and guard while also handling long-snapping duties.
• As a senior (2021), took home first-team all-state honors in the shortened six-game spring season.
• As a junior (2019), helped the RedHawks to an 8-5 record, including a deep run in the Class 8A state playoffs. Shuffled around the offensive line, but played primarily at guard.
• As a sophomore (2018), played primarily at right tackle and helped the program finish 11-2 and capture a 2018 conference championship.
• Also played baseball and was a student ambassador.
• Son of Mike and Mary Beth Coogan.
