Bishop Fitzgerald

PRO: The Titans signed Bishop Fitzgerald as a rookie free agent following the 2026 NFL Draft. The 5-foot-11-inch, 201-pound safety played in 53 college games with 37 starts, playing one season (2025) at Southern California after transferring from NC State (2023-24). He began his career at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College in 2021. Fitzgerald is an instinctive safety with natural ball skills in the defensive backfield.

TITANS TIDBITS:
• His mother named him after Tupac Shakur's character in the 1992 film "Juice."
• Initially gravitated toward quarterback in youth football. He was named district offensive player of the year at quarteabck and first-team all-district at quarterback and safety as a senior.
• While at NC State from 2023-24, shared the field with fellow Titans rookie free agent Sean Brown. In a 2023 game at Virginia, Fitzgerald deflected a deep pass into Brown's arms for a Wolfpack interception.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
• The Woodbridge, Va., native was signed by the Titans as a rookie free agent on April 30, 2026.

COLLEGE: 
• Saw action in 36 total games with 26 starts in five collegiate seasons. Began his career at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College, where he played in 17 games from 2021-22, recorded 57 tackles, six interceptions and eight pass breakups. Spent the next two seasons (2023-24) at NC State, where he apppeared in 26 games, collecting 97 tackles, seven stops for loss and five interceptions. Transferred to USC for his final seaosn in 2025.

AS A GRADUATE (2025), started all 10 games he played in, recording 51 tackles, five interception including one returned for a touchdown, three passes defensed. Added a sack and two tackles for loss. His five interceptions were the most by a Trojan since 2022. Named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press, AFCA, Sporting News and Walter Camp. Also named to the PFF, On3 and The Athletic All-American teams and was a first-team All-Big Ten honoree. Missed the final three games with an injury. Transferred to USC following the 2024 season.
• Against Missouri State (8/30), opened the season with four tackles, a tackle-assist for loss and an interception returned 39 yards for a touchdown.
• At Purdue (9/13), recorded five tackles and two interceptions. It was his first career multi-interception game.
• Against Michigan (10/11), recorded five tackles, an 11-yard sack and two interceptions. Named the Bronko Nagurski Player of the Week for his efforts.
• At Notre Dame (10/18), notched a season-best 10 tackles to go with a pass breakup.

AS A SENIOR (2024), played in all 13 games with 12 starts, logging 55 tackles, seven stops for loss. Led the team with three interceptions and a career-best eight pass breakups. Named honorable mention All-ACC. 
• Against Tennessee (9/7), tallied three tackles and an interception returned for 29 yards.
• At Wake Forest (10/5), logged three tackles and his second interception of the season. Added a tackle assist for loss.
• At California (10/19), notched six tackles and forced a fumble. Added two pass breakups.
• Against Stanford (11/2), recorded four tackles, including 2.5 stops for loss.
• Against Duke (11/9), registered six tackles, a stop for loss and a pass breakup.
• At Georgia Tech (11/21), credited with a season-high eight tackles, one interception returned for 18 yards and two pass breakups.

AS A JUNIOR (2023), appeared in all 13 games with four starts, recording 42 tackles and two interceptions in his first season at NC State. Added three pass breakups and a tackle assist for loss. 
• At Virginia (9/22), recorded four tackles and a pass breakup. Batted a deep pass into the arms of a teammate to return possesion to the Wolfpack in the fourth quarter. The teammate who made the interception was Sean Brown, current rookie free agent with the Titans.
• Against Louisville (9/29), notched six tackles and an interception.
• At Virginia Tech (11/18), recorded his second interception of the season late in the fourth quarter of a Wolfpack win.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2022), started all 11 games at Coffeyville (Kan.) CC. Recording 50 tackles, six interceptions and eight pass breakups for the Red Ravens. Named a Junior College All-American, a top-10 recruit and the top Junior College safety in the nation by On3. Earned Jayhawk Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors. 
• Against Independence CC (9/10), recorded six tackles and an interception.
• Against Hutchinson CC (9/24), forced and recovered a fumble he returned for a touchdown. Also notched a season-high eight tackles. Earned KJCCC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts.
• At Ellsworth CC (10/1), recorded six tackles to go with an interception and two pass breakups.
• Against Georgia Christian CC (10/22), logged his second fumble recovery touchdown of the season. Added a tackle.
• Against Iowa Western CC (11/5), recorded three tackles, a stop for loss and a 68-yard interception return for a touchdown.
• At Garden City CC (11/12), credited with three interceptions with 43 total return yards and one touchdown. Added three tackles.

AS A FRESHMAN (2021), played in six games, recording seven tackles.
• Graduated from USC with a degree in communications.

PERSONAL:  
• Attended Gar-Field (Woodbrige, V.A.) High School where he starred at quarterback and safety. Named district offensive player of the year as a senior. His recruitment was limited due to the school not fielding a team during the fall of his senior (2020).
• As a senior (Spring 2021), was named All-Cardinal district offensive player of the year after posting 1,793 all-purpose yards and 28 total touchdowns in six games of a shortend spring season. The team won all six games before a loss in the state playoffs.
• As a junior (2019), named second-team all-region at safety and helped the team to their first winning season since 2011.
• Also participated in track and field in the 55-meter dash, 100-meter, 200-meter and long jump.
• Son of Florence. The eldest of four children.
