James Hudson

PRO: The Titans signed James Hudson III prior to the start of the 2026 regular season to add depth and experience to the tackle position. The 6-foot-5-inch, 313-pounder was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and played in 60 games with 19 starts at both left and right tackle for the Browns and N.Y. Giants during his first five NFL campaigns. The University of Cincinnati product spent the 2026 offseason and training camp with the New England Patriots before his arrival in Tennessee.

• Hudson III began his collegiate career as a defensive lineman before transitioning to offensive line at Michigan in 2018.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Toledo, Ohio, native was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fourth round (110th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.
• Signed by the N.Y. Giants as an unrestricted free agent on March 13, 2025.
• Released by the Giants on March 6, 2026.
• Signed by the New England Patriots as a free agent on March 23, 2026.
• Released by the Patriots on Aug. 30, 2026.

COLLEGE:
• Played in 12 games in two seasons at the University of Cincinnati (2019-20). Spent his first two collegiate seasons at Michigan (2017-18) before transferring to Cincinnati in 2019.
• Following his lone season as a starter, Hudson III announced he would forgo his remaining eligibility and enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
• As a junior (2020), started all 11 of Cincinnati's games and was named first-team All-American Athletic Conference. Helped the Bearcats average 5.0-plus yards per carry and over 200-plus rushing yards per game. Member of an offensive front that only allowed nine sacks during the regular season, the lowest in the AAC.
• As a sophomore (2019), played in one game for the Bearcats, the 2020 Birmingham Bowl, after the NCAA denied his waiver for immediate eligibility.
• As a redshirt freshman (2018), played in three contests with limited action at right tackle.
• As a freshman (2017), redshirted.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Toledo Central Catholic High School and was named to the Associated Press Northwest Ohio All-District first team his last two seasons. Was chosen as All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior and was a first-team All-Conference pick as a senior and junior.
• As a senior (2016), registered 80 tackles, 34 stops for loss and eight sacks.
• As a junior (2015), recorded 82 tackles, 25 stops for loss and 8.5 sacks.
