Biography

PRO: The Titans signed Mani Powell as a rookie free agent following the 2026 NFL Draft. The 6-foot, 231-pounder will look to make an impact in the linebacker room and on special teams. The Columbus, Ohio, native appeared in 47 games with 19 starts during his collegiate career which included stops at Arkansas (2022-23), Nevada-Las Vegas (2024) and Purdue (2025).

TITANS TIDBITS:
• Powell began his career at Arkansas with Barry Odom who served as the team's assistant head coach/defensive coordinator. Once Odom became the head coach at University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Powell followed his coach. After a year at UNLV, the two made the move to Purdue, where Powell had a breakout season his senior year.
• Powell's hidden talents include backflipping and impersonations.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
• The Columbus, Ohio, native was signed by the Titans as a rookie free agent on April 30, 2026.

COLLEGE: 
• Saw action in 47 games with 19 starts over one season at Purdue (2025), one season at Nevada-Las Vegas (2024) and two seasons at Arkansas (2022-23). Totaled 174 tackles, 21 stops for loss, 8.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.

AS A SENIOR (2025), started in all 12 games at Purdue and totaled a team-high 110 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five sacks, one forced fumble and two passes defensed. Named All-Big Ten third team by coaches and honorable mention by media. Had 94 tackles in conference play to become the first Boilermaker to lead the Big Ten in tackling in league games. 
• Against Ball State (8/30), opened his Purdue career with four tackles and a sack.
• Against Southern California (9/13), had seven tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass defensed.
• At Illinois (10/4), posted 14 tackles.
• At Northwestern (10/18), totaled 20 tackles, a forced fumble and 1.5 tackles loss to become the first Boilermaker since Willie Fells (vs. Iowa in 1997) to have at least 20 tackles in a game.
• At Michigan (11/1), produced a season-high 1.5 sacks.
• Against Ohio State (11/18), totaled 13 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack.

AS A JUNIOR (2024), appeared in all 14 games with seven starts for the Rebels. Had 59 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and four quarterback hurries. Transferred to Purdue following the season. 
• Against Fresno State (9/28), earned his first quarterback sack as a Rebel.
• Against Syracuse (10/4), posted 10 total tackles.
• At Utah State (10/11), added another sack as part of a seven-tackle game.
• At Oregon State (10/19), finished with eight total tackles and a half-sack in victory.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2023), appeared in 10 games as a linebacker and on special teams for the Razorbacks. Had five tackles. Transferred to Nevada-Las Vegas following the season. 
• Against Brigham Young (9/16), had two tackles.

AS A FRESHMAN (2022), played in 11 games primarily on special teams at Arkansas. 
• Graduated with a degree is law & society from Purdue in May 2026.

PERSONAL:  
• Attended Fayetteville (Ark.) High School and McKinley (Canton, Ohio) High School.
• Rated the No. 3 prospect in Arkansas and No. 37 linebacker nationally by 247Sports.
• As a senior (2021), led his team to the state finals, and recorded 32 tackles, three tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass defensed in four games before his senior season ended due to injury.
• Was named first team All-Ohio and Northeast Inland District Defensive Player of the Year as a junior. Had 81 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, four sacks and two forced fumbles in seven games.
• Was also a state qualifying wrestler and placed third in discus and fifth in shot put at state in track & field.
• Son of Shaunta Michael.
• Has two brothers, Elijah and Euguene, and a sister, Eurazeshia.
