Biography

PRO: The Titans selected Anthony Hill Jr. in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2-inch, 238-pounder brings an impressive mix of size and speed to the linebacker position. The Denton, Texas native played three seasons (2023-25) at Texas where he tallied 249 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, eight forced fumbles and three interceptions.

• Hill is a big gamer and enjoys playing Madden, NBA 2K, Fortnite and Call of Duty. Hill has hopes to start a program to give kids in need gaming systems in order to connect with them and offer encouragement through hard times.
• Hill was born in Witchita, Kan. at the same hospital as Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders.

COLLEGE: 
• Saw action in 40 games with 32 starts over three seasons (2023-25) at Texas. Finished his career with 249 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, eight forced fumbles and three interceptions.

AS A JUNIOR (2025), started 10 games and recorded 69 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press, AFCA and FWAA. Was a finalist for the Butkus Award and a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award. Selected to the coaches' All-SEC second team.  
• Against San Jose State (9/6), notched six tackles and recorded a career-high two forced fumbles.
• At Florida (10/4), recorded 14 total tackles as well as a fumble recovery.
• At Kentucky (10/18), registered 12 tackles and an interception.
• At Mississippi (10/25), notched 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks for 18 yards as well as a forced fumble.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2024), started all 16 games and led the team with 113 tackles and 16.5 tackles for loss. Also tallied eight sacks, one interceptions, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Registered three double-digit tackle performances. Named a second-team All-American by the Associated Press, AFCA, Sporting News and Walter Camp. 
• Against Louisiana Monroe (9/21), recorded an interception.
• Against Oklahoma (10/12), tallied 11 tackles, two sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble. Named SEC co-defensive Player of the Week and Lott IMPACT National Player of the Week for his performance.
• Against Kentucky (11/23), set a season-high with four tackles for loss.
• Against Georgia (12/7), had a fumble recovery that he returned 25 yards.
• Against Ohio State (1/10), tallied six tackles and half a sack in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl at the CFP Semifinal.

AS A FRESHMAN (2023), appeared in all 14 games with six starts and totaled 66 tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, one forced fumble, four quarterback hurries and two pass breakups. His five sacks are tied for fourth-most by a Longhorn freshman and are the third-most by a Texas true freshman. Named co-Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and honorable mention All-Big 12. 
• At Alabama (9/9), had six tackles including two for a loss and two sacks. Earned Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Week and 247Sports True Freshman of the Week for his performance.
• Against Oklahoma (10/7), registered a then career-high eight tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one pass breakup in the Red River Rivalry game.
• Against Brigham Young (10/28), earned his first career start and tallied five tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup.
• Against Texas Tech (11/24), tallied four tackles and a sack.
• Against Oklahoma State (12/2), had six tackles, one tackle for loss, one sack and a forced fumble in the Big 12 Championship Game victory.
• Majored in Communications & Leadership at Texas.

PERSONAL:  
• Attended Denton Ryan (Texas) High School and recorded 303 tackles, 13 sacks and nine forced fumbles, while also rushing for 378 yards and 13 touchdowns over three years at Ryan. Named an All-American and all-state honoree as a member of the state championship team.
• Rated No. 18 nationally, No. 2 among outside linebackers and No. 4 overall in the state of Texas by ESPN.
• As a senior (2022), despite being limited to six games as a senior due to injury, still totaled 67 tackles, two sacks and five forced fumbles. Part of a defense that allowed 19.3 points per game in his six games, including a shutout against Saginaw.
• As a junior (2021), selected first-team 5A All-State by Texas Sports Writers Association. Tabbed first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American. Named unanimous MVP of District 1 and first-team all-district. Registered 131 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Also rushed for 176 yards and seven touchdowns. Helped Ryan to a 12-2 overall record, including an 8-0 district mark and title and an appearance in the 5A Division 1 quarterfinals.
• As a sophomore (2020), tabbed honorable mention 5A All-State by the Texas Sports Writers Association in 2020. Named first-team MaxPreps Sophomore All-American. Chosen Defensive Newcomer of the Year of District 5-5A Division 1 and first-team all-district. Tallied 105 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks and two forced fumbles as a sophomore. Part of a defense that allowed just 15.8 points per game, including six games of 10 points or fewer. Helped Ryan to a 15-0 overall record, including a 7-0 district mark and title, and the 5A Division 1 state championship in 2020.
• Also participated in track and field in the 4x400m relay on a team that finished second in the 5A state meet.
