Biography

PRO: The Titans signed Tae Crowder to the team's practice squad late in the 2023 season. Prior to his arrival in Tennessee, the 6-foot-1-inch, 235-pounder spent three season with the New York Giants where he amassed 229 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, nine tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and eight passes defensed. The Georgia product has also spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: 
•    Crowder was a part of a senior class at Georgia that won 44 games, tied for most in school history at the time of his graduation. 
•    Crowder scored the deciding points in the N.Y. Giants' first victory of the 2020 season when he recovered quarterback Kyle Allen's fumble and returned it 43 yards for a touchdown against Washington.

TITANS TIDBITS: 
•    As the 255th and final selection, Crowder was the 2020 NFL Draft's Mr. Irrelevant.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS: 
•    The Pine Mountain, Ga., native was selected by the New York Giants in the seventh round (255th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.
•    Released by the Giants on Dec. 20, 2022 and signed to the practice squad two days later. 
•    Signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers to their active roster from the Giants' practice squad on Dec. 27, 2022.
•    Released by the Steelers on May 22, 2023. 
•    Signed by the Los Angeles Chargers as a free agent on Aug. 22, 2023. 
•    Released by the Chargers on Aug. 28, 2023. 
•    Signed by the Titans to the team's practice squad on Dec. 26, 2023.

COLLEGE: 
•    Played in 44 games with 19 starts over five seasons at the University of Georgia (2015-19) and totaled 122 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions, seven passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovered for a touchdown. Transitioned from running back to inside linebacker his redshirt freshman year. Was a key player on Georgia teams that won 11 or more games three straight seasons, won three straight SEC Eastern Division titles and played in three straight New Year's Six Bowl games. 
•    As a senior (2019), started all 14 games and finished with 62 tackles, including four for a loss, three quarterback pressures and four pass breakups. Recorded his first collegiate touchdown when he picked up a Tennessee fumble and returned it 60 yards for a score. 
•    As a junior (2018), played in all 14 games with five starts. Finished with 53 tackles, including six for a loss and 1.5 sacks. Also had four quarterback pressures, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and two interceptions. 
•    As a sophomore (2017), played in all 15 games and had seven total tackles.  Fielded and downed a squib kickoff by Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl, enabling Georgia to kick a field goal as the first half expired. 
•    As a redshirt freshman (2016), appeared in one game. Moved to inside linebacker from running back mid-season. 
•    As a freshman (2015), redshirted.
•    Majored in International Affairs at University of Georgia and was the recipient of the Richard Young Football Scholarship.

PERSONAL: 
•    Attended Harris County (Hamilton, Ga.) High School. Named Georgia Sports Writers Association Second Team All-State in Class AAAAA and to the Atlanta Journal Constitution All-State Honorable Mention in Class AAAAA.
•     Saw significant playing time at both wide receiver and running back for the Tigers. 
•    Helped Harris County to a 9-4 record, going 6-0 in its region and advancing to the second round of the AAAAA State Playoffs 
•     Rushed for 1,665 yards and 27 touchdowns as a senior.  Also recorded 204 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. Was a three-year varsity player.
•     Also lettered in basketball for three years.
