2020: After missing the entire 2019 season due to injury, Weaver made a remarkable return to the field and earned consensus All‐America status…garnered first‐team All‐America honors from four of the NCAA's recognized selectors: Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and Walter Camp Football Foundation…additionally was a first‐team All‐America selection by no fewer than four other media outlets, including CBS Sports, ESPN, Phil Steele and Pro Football Focus…first team All‐ACC…semifinalist for the Bednarik Award (presented to the national defensive player of the year)…played in and started nine games at defensive end…totaled 35 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery…led the ACC in sacks per game (0.83 avg.) and tackles for loss per game (1.61 avg.)…made an auspicious 2020 debut against Syracuse (Sept. 19), collecting seven tackles, three TFLs and two sacks to earn Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week honors…also was named the Reese's Senior Bowl Defensive Senior of the Week and ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week for his Syracuse performance…had five stops, two sacks and a forced fumble at Clemson…his second sack of QB Trevor Lawrence forced a fumble that was recovered by Pitt at the Clemson 19, resulting in a short touchdown drive…had four tackles, two TFLs and a sack at Florida State…had four stops, 2.5 TFLs, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble against Louisville…invited to play in the prestigious Reese's Senior Bowl all‐star game.

2019: Did not play in any games after sustaining a season‐ending injury during August training camp.

2018: Started all 14 games at defensive end…compiled 47 tackles, 14 TFLs, 6.5 sacks, four pass breakups, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles…led Pitt in sacks, TFLs and fumble recoveries…tied for the ACC lead and ranked sixth nationally in fumble recoveries…had a season‐high seven stops with a recovered fumble against Georgia Tech…had four tackles, including a career‐high 2.5 TFLs (one sack), at Virginia…had five tackles and a career‐high 1.5 sacks at Notre Dame…collected four tackles, 1.5 TFLs, two fumble recoveries (returned for a combined 20 yards) and a forced fumble against Penn State.

2017: Played in all 12 games, starting five contests at defensive end in his first active season…compiled 28 tackles, six TFLs, three sacks and three pass breakups on the year…had a career‐high eight tackles at Syracuse…in the Panthers' 24‐14 upset of No. 2 Miami, had four tackles, a season‐high two TFLs (including one sack) and a pass breakup…had four stops and a sack against Virginia…also collected four stops, 1.5 TFLs and a sack against Oklahoma State.

2016: Redshirted as a true freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: A two‐way player for Cooper City, a Class 7A program in Florida...played defensive end and tight end...on defense, compiled 65 tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception return for a touchdown and six pass deflections...also blocked four kicks (two field goals and two punts)...All‐Broward County selection...selected to play in the Broward County All‐Star Classic and the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) North vs. South All‐Star Classic...rated one of the top 18 defensive end prospects in Florida...played under Coach Brandon Walker...also a three‐year starter in basketball.

PERSONAL: Rashad Capone Weaver, born 11/10/97, is the son of Autumn DeLaPorte and Nevin Weaver...has two sisters...earned his bachelor's degree with a dual major in business information systems and enrolled in Pitt's Katz Graduate School of Business…was a member of Pitt's prestigious Blue & Gold Society, an undergraduate organization composed of top students who serve as ambassadors for the university and Pitt Alumni Association.
