Garret Wallow

PRO: The Titans signed Garret Wallow late in the 2023 campaign to add depth and experience to both the linebacker room and the special teams unit. The 6-foot-2-inch, 230-pounder was originally drafted by the Houston Texans in 2021 and spent his first three seasons with the club before joining the Titans in late December of 2023. Prior to arriving in Tennessee, the Texas Christian product appeared in 32 NFL contests with five starts and recorded 30 tackles.

TITANS TIDBITS: 
•    Wallow hosted a free youth football camp in his hometown of New Orleans during the summer of 2023.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS: 
•    The New Orleans, La., native was selected by the Houston Texans in the fifth round (170th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.
•    Released by the Texans on Aug. 29, 2023 and signed to the team's practice squad two days later. 
•    Activated from the practice squad to the active roster standard elevation on Oct. 7, 2023.
•    Signed by the Texans to their active roster from the practice squad on Nov. 18, 2023. 
•    Waived by the Texans on Nov. 25, 2023 and signed to the team's practice squad four days later.
•    Activated from the practice squad to the active roster standard elevation on Dec. 16, 2023.
•    Signed by the Titans to their active roster from the Texans' practice squad on Dec. 20, 2023.

COLLEGE:
•    Played four seasons (2017-20) at Texas Christian University where he appeared in 49 games over his collegiate career and totaled 295 tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, five passes defensed, three forced fumbles and an interception.
•    As a senior (2020), earned first team All-Big 12 honors after logging 90 total tackles, which was the second-most in the Big 12 on the year. Also contributed nine tackles for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles and five quarterback hits.
•    As a junior (2019), led the Big 12 with 125 tackles and ranked tied for ninth nationally at 10.4 tackles per game.  Had a team-best 18 tackles for loss and the 1.5 stop for loss per game placed third in the Big 12 and tied for ninth in the country.  Topped the Horned Frogs in tackles in 10 of 12 games.
•    As a sophomore (2018), made seven starts while seeing action in all 13 contests and placed third on the team with 72 tackles.
•    As a true freshman (2017), appeared in all 14 games and recorded eight total tackles on defense while leading the team with seven special teams stops.

PERSONAL: 
•    Attended John Curtis Christian (New Orleans, La.) School.
•    As a senior, totaled 67 stops, including a sack, with an interception and forced fumble while being named first team All-State as a safety.
•    Lettered in basketball and also ran track as a senior, clocking personal bests in the 100 meters (11.30) and 400 meters (52.36).
