Biography

PRO: The Titans claimed C.J. Ravenell off waivers from the Baltimore Ravens during final roster cutdowns prior to the 2025 campaign. The 6-foot-5-inch, 300-pounder is an athletic player with a physical presence who will look to use his versatility to add depth to the Titans' defensive front. The Missouri Western State product spent his rookie campaign on the Ravens' practice squad in 2024.

TITANS TIDBITS:
• Ravenell's path to the NFL had many stops. He attended multiple pro days and earned two rookie camp invites in his undrafted journey. Ravenell didn't make it to his second camp invite, as the Baltimore Ravens signed the Division 2 prospect immediately after his rookie camp tryout in 2023.
• With an eye toward getting an opportunity to play in the NFL, Ravenell was extremely dedicated in the weight room and with nutrition to increase his weight from 240 pounds in his redshirt junior year to 287 pounds in his final collegiate season.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Santa Clarita, Calif., native was originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens as a rookie free agent on May 6, 2024.
• Waived by the Ravens on Aug. 27, 2024 and signed to the team's practice squad a day later.
• Signed by the Ravens to a future contract on Jan. 21, 2025.
• Waived by the Ravens on Aug. 26, 2025.
• Claimed off waivers by the Titans on Aug. 27, 2025.

COLLEGE:
• Appeared in 43 games during his six-year tenure (2018-23) at Missouri Western State, totaling 164 tackles, 38 tops for loss, 14.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, a pass defensed and a blocked kick.
• Garnered All-MIAA honors in all four active seasons (2019, 2021-23) and was a three-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll honoree (2019, 2021-22). Was a recipient of the 2022-23 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.
• As a senior (2023), played in 11 games and posted 45 tackles, 11 stops for loss, three sacks and a fumble recovery, en route to earning second-team All-MIAA honors.
• As a junior (2022), saw action in 11 games and accumulated 47 tackles, 6.5 stops for loss, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Earned second-team All-MIAA honors.
• As a sophomore (2021), participated in nine contests, recording 33 tackles, 12 stops for loss, seven sacks and two forced fumbles, while garnering third-team All-MIAA recognition.
• Missouri Western State's 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Players did not lose a season of eligibility.
• As a redshirt freshman (2019), appeared in all 12 games, notching 39 tackles, 8.5 stops for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a blocked kick. Received honorable mention All-MIAA recognition.
• As a freshman (2018), redshirted.
• Graduated with a degree in sports management from Missouri Western State in 2023. Earned a master's degree in business administration from Missouri Western State in 2024.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, Calif.) High School and played a key part in the Grizzlies reaching the CIF semifinals and championship game in his junior and senior seasons.
• As a senior (2017), totaled 13 sacks en route to being named Foothill League Co-Lineman of the Year.
• Son of Ken and Kim Ravenell, and has two sisters, Katie and Courtney.
