Andrew Adams

PRO: The Titans signed Andrew Adams to the team's active roster in Week 3 of the 2022 season off of the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad. The 5-foot-11-inch, 202-pounder arrives in Tennessee with 87 games (35 starts) of NFL experience, and has totaled 175 tackles, four quarterback pressures, six tackles for loss, seven interceptions, 23 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and 15 special teams stops over seven seasons with the New York Giants (2016-17) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2018-21). The Fayetteville, Ga., native played collegiately at Connecticut (2012-15) where he appeared in 44 games with 33 starts and finished his career with 263 tackles, nine interceptions and 24 passes defensed.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: 
• Adams served as a key special teams contributor during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Super Bowl LV-winning season. He appeared in all 16 regular season games and played the fourth-most special teams snaps on the squad (297).
• In 2018, Adams recorded a career-high four interceptions, including three interceptions in one contest (vs. Carolina 12/2/18) in his first campaign with Tampa Bay.

• Adams comes from a long lineage of NFL players. His Uncle, Sam Adams, played offensive line from 1972-81. His cousin, Matt Forte, played running back from 2008-17. His cousin, Sam Adams, played defensive tackle from 1994-2007.
• Adams' brother-in-law is linebacker Alec Ogletree, and the two were teammates together on the New York Giants.
• Adams originally committed to Furman University as a centerfielder to play baseball, but de-committed when Connecticut wanted him to play football for the Huskies.

• As a senior (2015), started all 13 games and led the team with 103 tackles. Added 3.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and six passes defensed. Named second team All-American Athletic Conference and team captain.
• As a junior (2014), started all 12 games and led the team with four interceptions for 104 yards. Totaled 95 tackles, 0.5 tackle for loss, a career-high eight passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
• As a sophomore (2013), saw action in eight games with six starts and finished the season with 42 tackles, 0.5 tackle for loss, two interceptions, six passes defensed and four forced fumbles.
• As a redshirt freshman (2012), played in 12 games with two starts and totaled 23 tackles, two tackles for loss, four passes defensed and one fumble recovery.
• Majored in economics at Connecticut.

PERSONAL: 
• Attended Woodward (Ga.) Academy where he was named first team All-City/South Fulton County by the Atlanta Journal Constitution as a senior.
