Biography
PRO: The Titans signed Jermari Harris as a rookie free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-1-inch, 191-pound cornerback played in 42 career games during a six-year stint (2019-24) at the University of Iowa. Harris is a long, athletic player that uses his physicality and strength to disrupt pass catchers at the point of attack while registering eight career collegiate interceptions. He provides depth in the Titans' defensive backfield and on special teams.
TITANS TIDBITS:
• Harris didn't start playing football until his junior year of high school. He focused on basketball early in his youth career. He won a state championship as a sophomore on a team that included current Chicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu. Harris also played in the Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) against NBA players like Darius Garland, RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish.
• Harris has a cat named Anubis.
CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Chicago, Ill., native was signed by the Titans as a rookie free agent on May 9, 2025.
COLLEGE:
• Harris spent six seasons (2019-24) at the University of Iowa and totaled 105 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 27 passes defensed and eight interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) over 42 games with 28 starts.
• As a graduate (2024), named third team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media. Received Associated Press second team All-Big Ten honors. Started at cornerback in 10 games and notched 27 tackles, including a stop for a loss, three interceptions for 60 yards with a score, and seven passes defensed.
• As a senior (2023), received the team's Comeback Player of the Year Award after starting at cornerback in 12 games and posting 42 tackles, including a stop for a loss, eight passes defensed and an interception. The eight pass break-ups led the team and ranked fourth in the Big Ten.
• As a junior (2022), did not see action because of injury.
• As a sophomore (2021), played in all 14 games, starting the last six contests at cornerback. Collected 34 tackles, including 1.5 stops for loss, four interceptions and four passes defensed. Received the Next Man In Award for defense.
• As a redshirt freshman (2020), played as a reserve in six games. Was one of just four redshirt freshmen named to the Leadership Group.
• As a freshman (2019), redshirted after seeing action in just two games. Was one of just eight true freshmen to see action on the season.
• Earned a bachelor's degree in business from Iowa in 2023.
PERSONAL:
• Attended Montini Catholic (Lombard, Ill.) High School where he helped his team advance to state playoffs during his junior and senior seasons.
• As a senior (2018), earned second team all-state honors and first team all-area and all-conference after recording 72 tackles, eight interceptions, and five passes defensed. Received academic all-conference recognition.
• Also lettered in basketball and track.
• Attended Morgan Park (Chicago, Ill.) High School as a sophomore and freshman.
• Was a member of the basketball team that won a state title his sophomore season.
