Quick Hits on the Titans After Thursday's Practice

quick-hits-10-09-25

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Las Vegas Raiders.

Here's a look at the developments from the day:

-Edge rusher Jihad Ward entered the NFL as a second-round pick of the Raiders in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Ten years later, Ward is preparing to face his former franchise on Sunday, now with the Titans.

Ward has found a role in his first season in Tennessee, and he's coming off a game with he racked up four quarterback pressures while moving around in the defense.

"Wherever they put me, my goal is to dominate, no matter what position I'm in," Ward said on Thursday. "I've played everywhere, and whatever we have to do to get to the quarterback and stop the run, that's what I try to do."

Ward has played in all five games for the Titans in 2025, and he's been credited with five tackles, eight quarterback pressures and one pass defensed on the season.

In addition to the Raiders, Ward has spent time with the Cowboys, Colts, Ravens, Jaguars, Giants and Vikings in the NFL before signing with the Titans back in July.

Ward wants to take advantage of his opportunities while making an impression on those around him along the way.

"I know I have been on a lot of teams," Ward said. "No.1, (I want) to take advantage of everything. I could be in the crib chilling … (but) I want to go out there and give it my all every time. (The Titans) gave me an opportunity, so whatever team I am at I am rocking with."

-Titans right tackle JC Latham practiced for the second straight day on Thursday, and appears to be trending toward returning to the lineup on Sunday.

Latham has missed the past four games with a hip injury.

Here's o-line coach Bill Callahan talking about Latham and the o-line after today's practice:

-Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons, who has played in an AFC Championship Game with the team, along with a number of playoff games, isn't about to let the one-win Titans get comfortable.

Simmons has been preaching the importance of staying focused, and hungry:
