Quick Hits on the Titans From Friday of Colts Week

quick-hits-10-16-26

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Vanderbilt Health Football Center to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Indianapolis Colts.

Here's a look at today's developments:

-Safety Amani Hooker is set to return on Sunday for the Titans.

Coach Robert Saleh said Hooker is scheduled to see an independent doctor on Friday, which would be the last step of concussion protocol.

Hooker missed last Sunday's game against the Texans with a concussion.

"He pretty much cleared yesterday," Saleh said of Hooker, while noting the pending visit to the independent doctor.

Safety Kevin Winston Jr. has been ruled OUT for this Sunday's game against the Colts, however, because of a quad injury that sidelined him against the Texans.

Veteran Tony Adams, who started in place of Hooker last week, is expected to slide into Winston's spot this week.

-Last week, the Titans moved cornerback Joshua Williams to the team's Designated to Return to Practice list.

This designation opened up a three-week window for Williams to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

Williams was not activated for this past Sunday's game the Texans, and the team reevaluate the possibility of his playing in the next 24 hours.

Williams practiced again on Friday. The Titans need to officially activate Williams in order for him to be able to play on Sunday.

"He is trending in the right direction," Saleh said of Williams, "but we'll see. We have to get the evaluation of today's practice."

-As part of his weekly routine to honor a Tennessee high school football team, Saleh was representing Tyner Academy in Chattanooga during his media availability on Friday.

-Defensive lineman Jordan Elliott did not practice on Friday for personal reasons.
