NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Vanderbilt Health Football Center to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Cincinnati Bengals.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-Titans receiver Carnell Tate did not practice for the second straight day because of a shoulder injury.
The absences raise questions about Tate's availability for Sunday's game.
The team will put out a final injury report on Friday, so stay tuned.
-Defensive tackle Jonah Laulu practiced for the first time with the team on Thursday.
The 6-foot-5, 289-pound Laulu, claimed off waivers on Wednesday, played in 39 games, with 22 starts, over the past three seasons with the Raiders, and tallied 91 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 12 quarterback hits on those contests.
"Yeah, credit to Borgo's staff," Titans coach Robert Saleh said. "Big D-tackle, athletic, fits in the mold of what we look for out of a D-tackle. And so it'll be good to get a look at him."
- The Titans signed defensive tackle Timmy Horne, waived from the active roster on Wednesday, to the team's practice squad on Thursday.
-The Titans moved linebacker Dorian Mausi to the team's Designated to Return to Practice list earlier this month.
The Titans released LB Mohamoud Diabate from the practice squad.
This designation opened up a three-week window for Mausi to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.
Mausi practiced in full again on Thursday. The Titans need to officially activate Mausi in order for him to be able to play on Sunday.
-By now, I'm sure you've heard about the Titans trading Jeffery Simmons to the Bears.
