NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Vanderbilt Health Football Center to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Cleveland Browns.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-Titans cornerback Alontae Taylor spoke to reporters on Wednesday for the first time since being made one of the team's inactives on Sunday.
Taylor called it a "tough situation" while saying coach Robert Saleh "broke some stuff down to me" in making the decision.
"You have to take it to the chin," Taylor said.
Saleh was asked about Taylor on Wednesday.
"Yeah, we're going to continue working with Alontae," Saleh said. "I just wanted to give him a reset, kind of catch his breath. For him, just playing out there at corner for the first time, there's just some things that he just needed to reset on and that was basically the gist of my decision."
Taylor said teammates have been supportive.
"I have handled it with prayer, grace," Taylor said. "My teammates have been full support, check on me every day."
-The Titans moved linebacker Dorian Mausi to the team's Designated to Return to Practice list on Wednesday.
This designation opened up a three-week window for Mausi to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.
Mausi practiced on Wednesday, in full. The Titans need to officially activate Williams in order for him to be able to play on Sunday.
-And now for all the injury updates on players on the injury report on Wednesday:
-Safety Tony Adams (ankle) was limited.
-Defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers (NIR-Rest) did not practice.
-Receiver Calvin Ridley (hip) was limited.
-Running back Tyjae Spears (NIR-Rest) did not practice.
-Safety Kevin Winston (quad) was limited.
-Titans running back Julius Chestnut was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday.
