quick-hits-9-11-25

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's home opener against the Los Angeles Rams.

Here's a look at the developments from the day:

-Safety Amani Hooker has earned not one, but two contract extensions with the team.

Hooker, a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, was awarded with another multi-year extension over the weekend, and he's ready to prove the team right once again.

"It's a true honor," Hooker said. "A lot of guys don't get to that second or third contract, so to be in the same place for seven years and they have enough faith in my play, and who I am as a person, to help this team win.

"I am not going anywhere – I am only 27. So, I have some years left in me. So, I am still proving myself, who I am as a player, to the league and my teammates."

Here's Hooker in the locker room on Thursday:

-Running back Tony Pollard carried the ball 18 times for 60 yards in the opener.

Pollard talked about his performance in Denver, and his outlook moving forward:

-Receiver/return man Chimere Dike also spoke to reporters on Thursday:

Here's a look at all the injury updates from Thursday:

-Right tackle JC Latham (hip) did not practice for the second day in a row.

Latham talked to reporters on Thursday, and I've included the interview up until the point he was asked whether he's playing on Sunday or not. I'm sure you can find his answer elsewhere.

Coach Brian Callahan on Friday will officially address Latham's status for Sunday.

Nonetheless, here's Latham:

-Running back Kalel Mullings (ankle) did not practice.

-Defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat (ankle) did not practice.

-Safety Quandre Diggs (hand) was spotted at practice.

-Edge Arden Key (pectoral) was spotted at practice.

-Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed (knee) was spotted at practice.

-Safety Kevin Winston (hamstring) was spotted at practice.

The Titans return to the practice field on Friday to continue preparations for Sunday's game.
