Quick Hits on the Titans After Friday's Practice

quick-hits-9-12-25

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's home opener against the Los Angeles Rams.

Here's a look at the developments from the day:

-L'Jarius Sneed's action was limited in Week One.

Titans coach Brian Callahan said Sneed's volume increased in practice this week, which means the veteran cornerback could play more after being limited to just 21 snaps in the opener.

Sneed on Friday said he feels good, and ready.

Sneed was listed as limited in Friday's session, but he does not have a designation for the game, so he's good to go.

"Everything is going the way it is supposed to go," Sneed said after practice. "I'm feeling good, and just taking it day by day. … I think I am headed in the right direction (conditioning-wise). I'm feeling pretty good."

Here's Sneed in the locker room on Friday:

-Right tackle JC Latham (hip) did not practice again on Friday, and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday.

Callahan didn't commit to Oli Udoh being the starter in place of Latham, and he mentioned Blake Hance and John Ojukwu as potential options.

-Defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat (ankle) did not practice again on Friday, and he's also been ruled OUT for Sunday.

Callahan said Sweat didn't get enough practice time this week, "so he won't be ready to play."

-Punter Johnny Hekker, formerly with the Rams, will be the team's gameday captain on Sunday.

-Callahan said receiver Van Jefferson and Chimere Dike should play more snaps on Sunday after playing just seven and 10 snaps, respectively, on offense in Denver.

"I like what Chim has done," Callahan said. "I think he's earned the right to have some opportunities, too."

Back to the injuries:

-Running back Kalel Mullings (ankle) was limited in Friday's practice and is DOUBTFUL for Sunday.

-Edge Arden Key (pectoral) practiced in full and is good to go.

-Safety Kevin Winston (hamstring) was limited in practice and is DOUBTFUL.

-Safety Quandre Diggs (hand), who missed practices on Wednesday and Thursday, practiced on Friday and he's good to go.

The Titans will hold a walkthrough on Saturday, ahead of Sunday's game.
