Quick Hits After Wednesday's Titans Practice

220119-quick-hits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday to continue preparations for Saturday's Divisional Round Playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Some quick hits after Wednesday's session:

-The Titans practiced in a steady rain and on soggy practice fields at Saint Thomas Sports Park.

The energy was good, though, from stretch to the final period.

-Running back Derrick Henry, moved to the team's 'Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list earlier this month, was back at practice on Wednesday.

The designation opened up a 21-day window for Henry to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

Henry talked to reporters before practice.

Henry suffered a foot injury in the team's October 31 game vs the Colts, and he's missed the last nine games.

The Titans will need to activate Henry at some point before Saturday's game.

-Cornerback Jackrabbit Jenkins (ankle) was added to the Injury Report, and he did not practice on Wednesday.

-Outside linebacker Derick Roberson (Not Injury Related) did not practice on Wednesday.

-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (ankle), who missed the Texans game, was back at practice on Wednesday. Tart was once against listed as limited on the team's Injury Report.

-Defensive lineman Naquan Jones (knee), who also missed the Texans game, was also back on the practice field as a full participant.

-Defensive back Buster Skrine (hamstring) was a full participant again on Wednesday.

-The Titans placed cornerback Greg Mabin on the team's Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday.

-Receiver Dez Fitzpatrick is wearing No.1 in practices this week while working on the scout team as Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase.

-Outside linebacker Tuzar Skipper has been wearing No.91, working as Bengals defensive lineman Trey Hendrickson.

-Fullback Tory Carter, moved to the team's 'Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list on Monday, returned to the practice field this week for the first time since being injured in the Jacksonville game on December 12. He practiced again on Wednesday.

-Running back Jordan Wilkins, activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, also practiced again. Wilkins is on the team's practice squad.

-The Bengals released their second Injury Report on Wednesday, and it looked like this: DE Trey Hendrickson (concussion) was a full participant. WR Stanley Morgan (hamstring) and DT Josh Tupou (knee) were all limited. CB Jalen Davis (ankle), CB Mike Hilton (ankle) and DE Sam Hubbard (ribs) were also all full participants in Wednesday's session.

-The Titans are scheduled to practice again on Thursday before holding a walkthrough on Friday leading up to Saturday's game vs the Bengals.

-In addition to Titans OC Todd Downing, DC Shane Bowen and ST coordinator Craig Aukerman, running back Derrick Henry, linebacker Bud Dupree, linebacker Zach Cunningham and receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine all talked to reporters before Wednesday's practice.
