NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to ramp up preparations for Sunday's game vs the Indianapolis Colts.
Here's a look at the developments from the day:
-Titans edge rusher Dre'Mont Jones has been surging of late, recording sacks in back-to-back games.
In addition to his sack of Patriots quarterback Drake Maye on Sunday, Jones was also credited with a team-high five quarterback pressures.
The prior week in Las Vegas, Jones recorded his first sack as a Titan while recording three quarterback pressures.
Jones, signed this offseason after playing previously with the Broncos and Seahawks, will aim to keep it going this Sunday against the Colts in Indianapolis.
"I feel like I have been rushing well each and every week, and these past few weeks have been good," Jones said. "The first game when I got my sack, I should have had three. I am not satisfied with that, because I feel like I should have had three that game instead of one. And last week I feel like I should have had more than one.
"But things are starting to roll for me, and I want things to roll for this team. I want us all to have a party at the quarterback."
Jones, who now has 32.5 sacks in his career, said he feels like he's getting more into a groove in the Tennessee defense.
He has no plans to let up.
"I have to make sure I do my part in being a bad a, m.f. – you know what I'm saying?," Jones said. "Bringing that energy, bringing that power off the edge."
-Titans practice squad receiver Xavier Restrepo hasn't been promoted for a game yet, but he's been doing his best in practices to try to convince coaches he deserves a shot.
Restrepo talked to reporters after practice on Wednesday:
