NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Houston Texans.
Here's a look at the developments from the day:
-Titans rookie Chimere Dike has had not one, but two touchdowns called back this season.
Dike returned a punt for a touchdown in the team's Week 2 contest against the Rams, but it was called back because of an illegal block.
Officials also signaled for a touchdown on a Dike run this past Sunday against the Colts, but after a review from officials, it was also wiped off the board. Dike was ruled to be inches short.
"Obviously frustrated, because you want to get in the end zone," Dike said. "But I think there are some positive things out there.
"My mom told me: The third time's the charm. So hopefully next time it will stand, and count for sure."
Here's more from Dike on Wednesday:
-Titans quarterback Cam Ward on Wednesday talked about quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree, the team's new play-caller.
Here's that story:
-The Titans released their first Injury Report of the Week, following a walk through.
Because it was a walk through, the designations were really an estimate.
-Ward was put on the report with an ankle/calf injury, and listed as limited in practice.
-Right tackle JC Latham (hip) was listed as "Did Not Practice."
-Guard Kevin Zeitler (biceps) was listed as limited.
-Running back Kalel Mullings (ankle) was listed as "Did Not Practice."
-Receiver Bryce Oliver (knee) was listed as "Did Not Practice."
-Safety Kevin Winston (hamstring) was listed as limited in practice.
-Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed is off the injury report.
-Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons and cornerback Darrell Baker both discussed the Jarvis Brownlee Jr. trade, and the state of things in Titan land.
