NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Tuesday to continue preparations for Thursday's game vs the San Francisco 49ers at Nissan Stadium.

Here's a look at what happened on Tuesday:

-Receiver A.J. Brown, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list on Monday, practiced for the first time since the week before the team's November 21 game against the Texans. Brown suffered a chest injury in that contest, and he hasn't played since.

This designation opened up a 21-day window for Brown to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

Brown does not appear on the injury report since he's not currently on the 53-man roster.

The Titans have until Thursday to activate him for Thursday's game and head coach Mike Vrabel said today Brown will be evaluated throughout the week.

"He will have to go out there and he has been working with the trainers and the strength staff," Vrabel said of Brown. "Looking at conditioning and updates in how he responds to the work he has done. He will be with us in the jog through today and I am sure he will do some stuff a little bit faster."

-Titans receiver Julio Jones was at practice on Tuesday, but he did not go through drills with other players during the open period.

Jones is listed on the Injury Report with a hamstring injury, and he was officially listed as "Did Not Practice" on Tuesday's report.

"We will see what he does in practice and see what he is able to do," Vrabel said. "Probably take it down to game time."

-Linebacker David Long Jr. (hamstring) did not practice again on Tuesday.

-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (ankle) practiced in full on Tuesday.

-Cornerback Jackrabbit Jenkins (ankle) was back on the practice field on Tuesday, and was listed as a full participant on the Injury Report.

-Guard Rodger Saffold (shoulder) practiced on Tuesday. He was decked out in a yellow non-contact uniform during the open period. He was listed as a full participant on the Injury Report.

-Defensive lineman Larrell Murchison (knee) did not practice on Tuesday.

-Left tackle Taylor Lewan (back) did not practice on Tuesday.

-RB D'Onta Foreman (ankle) practiced in full on Tuesday.

-Right tackle David Quessenberry (knee) practiced in full on Tuesday.

-The 49ers released their second Injury Report on Tuesday, and it looked like this: LB Dre Greenlaw (groin), S Talanoa Hufanga (knee), DL Maurice Hurst (calf), RB Elijah Mitchell (knee) did not practice. LB Azeez Al-Shaair (elbow) and S Jaquiski Tartt (ankle) were limited in practice.

-In addition to Titans HC Mike Vrabel, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, linebacker Rashaan Evans, cornerback Kristian Fulton, safety Kevin Byard, defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and running back Dontrell Hilliard all talked to reporters before Tuesday's practice.

-The Titans are scheduled to hold a walkthrough on Wednesday before Thursday's game against the 49ers at Nissan Stadium.
