NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to ramp up preparations for Sunday's game vs the Indianapolis Colts.

Here's a look at the developments from the day:

-Slowly but surely, rookie safety Kevin Winston Jr. is getting more and more opportunities.

First, Winston's chances came on special teams.

More recently, he's been getting snaps on defense.

Earlier this week, defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson said the plan is for Winston to get more snaps in the defensive game plan.

Winston, a third-round pick from Penn State, is excited about doing more.

"I am excited, but I have to keep doing the same things I have been doing every day, which is to stay ready and keep learning every day," Winston said on Thursday. "I have to make sure I keep at it, and be ready when my name is called."

Winston said he's getting more comfortable every time he plays.

Winston was inactive the first five games of the season before making his debut on October 5 at Arizona.

He wants to play with effort "and I want to bring a spark for the defense."

Winston is confident, and as healthy as he's been since his days before the ACL injury he suffered at Penn State.

"I feel amazing," Winston said. "I haven't felt like this since before the injury. So it's a blessing to feel this way. It's a great feeling, and I am blessed. It's been a long time, and a hard time, so it's amazing to feel this way."

-The Titans placed CB L'Jarius Sneed on Injured Reserve earlier on Thursday, and promoted LB Joe Bachie from the practice squad to the team's 53-man roster.

Here's that story:

-Also on Thursday, the Titans signed receiver Lance McCutcheon to the team's practice squad.

McCutcheon (6-3, 202), who played in college at Montana State, has spent time with the Rams, Texans, Jets and Steelers, primarily on practice squads or offseason rosters, since entering the NFL in 2022 as an undrafted free agent.

A quick look at McCutcheon:
