Quick Hits After Friday's Titans Practice

quick-hits-12-05-25

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Cleveland Browns.

Here's a look at the developments from the day:

-Linebacker Cedric Gray has been a tackling machine for the Titans.

Through 12 games, Gray has been credited with 114 tackles, which is 51 more than any other Titans player.

With six tackles this week, Gray will become just the fourth player since the beginning of the 2000 season to reach 120 tackles in the first 13 games of a season, joining Stephen Tulloch (136 in 2010), Azeez Al-Shaair (124 in 2023) and Keith Bulluck (120 in 2004).

The more he's played, the more Gray feels like he's improved.

"I've said it before, I think the offseason was a huge part of it," Gray said. "But continuing to develop during the season, learning new things every week, making mistakes and learning from them every week (has helped)."

In his second season, Gray has also been a hype man for the Titans.

And he takes pride in doing so.

"I think that is always how I play," Gray said. "I am a person who kind of feeds off of energy, that is kind of what gets me going.

"So, I try to get myself going, try to get others going, stay positive even when we're down in games, believing we can still find a way to win. Just try to be positive."

-Two Titans have been ruled OUT for Sunday's game:

-Center Lloyd Cushenberry, who is dealing with a foot injury.

-Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis, who is dealing with an Achilles injury.

-On Friday, Titans interim coach Mike McCoy said cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. will be the extra captain for Sunday's game.

-Edge Femi Oladejo has been on Injured Reserve since suffering a leg injury in the team's game at Las Vegas on October 12.

McCoy said Oladejo "is getting there" as he gets healthier, "but I can't give you a date" for his return.

McCoy did not commit to Oladejo playing again this season. He said he's been involved in all the meetings and is working hard to return.

-McCoy said cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, who is also on Injured Reserve, has been in the building every day and is taking part in meetings as well.

Now, for all the injury updates on Friday:
