NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Indianapolis Colts.
Here's a look at the developments from the day:
Four players have officially been ruled OUT for Sunday's game:
-Defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons (hamstring).
-Receiver Calvin Ridley (hamstring).
-Offensive lineman Blake Hance (shoulder/back).
-Receiver Bryce Oliver (knee).
-With Simmons sidelined, Titans interim coach Mike McCoy said others will need to step up.
"It's a big loss, obviously, one of the best players in the business," McCoy said of Simmons. "Those guys— you feel for the player also, because Jeff's the leader of the team, how hard he works every day, the example he sets, the message he gives the team when he speaks up, the way he plays, his play speaks for itself, what he's done at such a high level this year. It's going to be— what I look at it, like we talked to the team about it, it's an opportunity for others to step up. And that's what this business is all about. As players, you always want to play more. And especially when you're a role player that's back behind someone like that. So it's not going to one person. It's going be an entire group of players that have to step up and do their job better to help our defense."
-Earlier on Friday, the Titans promoted receiver Mason Kinsey from the practice squad to the team's 53-man roster.

-Punter Johnny Hekker (illness) practiced again and is good to go.
-Defensive end Sebastian Joseph-Day (calf) practiced again and is good to go.
-Outside linebacker Arden Key (quadriceps) did not practice and is listed as QUESTIONABLE.
-Defensive end James Lynch (shoulder) practiced again and is good to go.
-Running back Tony Pollard (NIR-Rest) practiced again and is good to go.
-Outside linebacker Jihad Ward (NIR-Rest) practiced again and is good to go.
-Safety Xavier Woods (ankle) practiced again, but on a limited basis, and is listed as QUESTIONABLE.
-Guard Kevin Zeitler (NIR-Rest) practiced again and is good to go.
-The Titans are scheduled to hold a walkthrough in Nashville on Saturday before traveling to Indianapolis on Saturday for Sunday's game at the Indianapolis Colts.
