Quick Hits After Thursday's Titans Practice

quick-hits-12-04-25

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Cleveland Browns.

Here's a look at the developments from the day:

-Tight end Gunnar Helm is surging in the second half of the season, and that's a good sign moving forward.

Helm is the first rookie tight end in franchise history to have consecutive games with at least six receptions. No rookie at any position has had three straight games with six or more catches. Helm joined Kendall Wright (2012) and Ernest Givens (1986) as the only Titan/Oiler rookies since the merger to do so in consecutive games.

Helm said his confidence is growing, as he's improved.

"I am growing with confidence every day," said Helm, who has 36 catches for 290 yards and a touchdown on the season. "It is kind of the same story as (in college) at Texas, getting the receiving and blocking feeling a lot better, I just have to get better on the YAC (yards after catch) right now."

A fourth-round pick of the Titans in the 2025 NFL Draft, Helm said a win would go a long way for the 1-11 Titans.

"It really is important to take steps forward, even though our record is what it is," Helm said. "Gaining a couple of wins at the end of the season could help our confidence going into next season. We are young. Losing come with some humility, and owning losses comes with some humility.

"But it's time to turn it around, it's time to give us some confidence going into next year."
