TEAM NOTES

  • The Titans overcame a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win 22-21 at Arizona. It was the team's largest fourth-quarter comeback in a victory since a 21-point comeback to defeat the New York Giants 24-21 on Nov. 26, 2006. Since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, the only other game won by the Titans franchise after trailing by 15 or more points in the fourth quarter was Nov. 1, 1987 against Cincinnati, when the team erased a 15-point margin to win 31-29.
  • Since the beginning of the 2024 season, the Titans and Buffalo Bills (Sept. 7, 2025 vs. Baltimore) are the NFL's only teams to overcome a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win.
  • The Titans' largest deficit was 18 points (21-3) in the second quarter.
  • It was the team's first victory at Arizona since Oct. 26, 1997.
  • Mike Borgonzi earned his first win as Titans general manager, and rookie Cam Ward earned his first career win as a starting quarterback.
  • The Titans played their second of three consecutive road games. They will finish the road swing next Sunday at Las Vegas (3:05 p.m. CT).
  • Titans rookie safety Kevin Winston Jr. made his debut and became the ninth and final member of the team's nine-member 2025 draft class to participate in a game this season. The last time the Titans had nine or more rookie draft picks participate in at least one game was 2016, when 10 members of their draft class did so.
  • A season-high five rookies were in the starting lineup for the Titans: quarterback Cam Ward, wide receiver Chimere Dike, tight end Gunnar Helm, tackle Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson (jumbo tight end) and outside linebacker Oluwafemi Oladejo.
  • Nine total rookies participated for the Titans to match their season high.
  • Joey Slye's game-winning field goal was the 56th game-winning field goal in franchise history and the first since Nick Folk's game-winner against New England on Nov. 3, 2024.
  • It was the 16th one-point victory in franchise history and the first since a 28-27 win at Miami on Dec. 11, 2023.
  • The Titans won the turnover battle with three takeaways and two turnovers. All three takeaways were a result of Arizona fumbles. It was the first game for the Titans since Nov. 27, 2011 against Tampa Bay (four fumble recoveries) in which the Titans were credited with at least three opponent fumble recoveries.
  • For the first time in 2025, the Titans had more net passing yards than their opponents (249 to 192).
  • For the second time in 2025, the Titans offense scored on its opening possession. They went 44 yards on 12 plays, culminating with a 44-yard field goal by Joey Slye. The Titans also had a field goal to open the season at Denver on Sept. 7.
  • The Titans defense generated three sacks from three different defenders: Jeffery Simmons (1.5), Arden Key (0.5) and Sebastian Joseph-Day (1.0), combining for the Titans highest sack total in 2025.
  • The Titans defense allowed zero points in the second half for the first time since Oct. 1, 2023, against Cincinnati.
