Titans-Jaguars Week 13 Postgame Notes

TEAM NOTES

  • The Titans played their fourth of four consecutive home games (Weeks 9-13), excluding their Week 10 bye. It was the team's first time playing four consecutive home games without a road game since 2015. Next Sunday they travel to face the Cleveland Browns.
  • The temperature at kickoff was 38 degrees, making it the third-coldest game played at Nissan Stadium in September, October or November since the stadium opened in 1999. The only colder kickoff temperatures in those months were 25 degrees against Pittsburgh on Nov. 17, 2014, and 35 degrees against Denver on Nov. 13, 2022. The wind chill against the Jaguars at kickoff was 33 degrees.
  • A season-high 11 rookies participated in the game for the Titans. The previous season high was 10 rookies in Week 12 against Seattle.
  • The Titans tied their season high (Nov. 23 against Seattle) with five rookie starters: quarterback Cam Ward, tight end Gunnar Helm, wide receiver Elic Ayomanor, cornerback Marcus Harris and safety Kevin Winston Jr. Prior to the 2025 season, the last time five or more Titans rookie draft picks started any game was during the 2005 campaign, when five or more draft picks started a total of six times.
  • Two players made their Titans debuts: cornerbacks Kaiir Elam and Kemon Hall. Elam and Hall became the 70th and 71st players to participate for the Titans in a game in 2025.
  • The Titans offense scored on its opening possession for the third consecutive game, capping its first drive with a 28-yard field goal. It was the sixth time in 2025 the team scored on its first possession (six field goals).

TEAM NOTES – DEFENSE

  • The Titans defense totaled three sacks against the Jaguars. It was the fifth time in the past six games the team recorded at least three sacks. In that span (Week 7-13), the defense's 21 total sacks ranked fourth in the NFL through the early afternoon games of Nov. 30.
  • The Jaguars scored seven points in the second half. It tied for the second-lowest opponent total allowed by the Titans in the second half in 2025.
  • The Titans defense logged five three-and-outs against the Jaguars defense. It was the defense's fifth game in 2025 forcing at least five three-and-outs, tying for the fourth-most such games in the NFL through the early afternoon games of Nov. 30.
  • The Jaguars converted three of their 13 attempts on third down. The 23.1-percent conversion rate by an opponent was the Titans defense's best number of the season.
  • The Jaguars rushed for 70 yards, which was the second-lowest total allowed by the Titans defense in 2025 (68 at Las Vegas on Oct. 12).

CB DARRELL BAKER JR.

  • Broke up a pass intended for Parker Washington in the second quarter to force a Jaguars punt.
  • Added three tackles.

LB CODY BARTON

  • Totaled two tackles, including a tackle for loss.

WR CHIMERE DIKE

  • Returned five punts for 76 yards and three kickoffs for 76 yards.
  • Added an eight-yard reception.
  • In the fourth quarter, he returned a Logan Cooke punt 47 yards. It was his third punt return of his rookie season of at least 47 yards.
  • With a league-leading 1,921 all-purpose yards through 12 games, he joined Derrick Mason as the franchise's only players since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger with 1,900 all-purpose yards in the team's first 12 games of a season. Mason had 2,103 yards in the first 12 games of 2000.
  • With 1,282 kickoff return yards in 2025, he surpassed Darius Reynaud (1,240 in 2012) for the third-highest single-season total in franchise history, trailing only Bobby Jancik (1,317 in 1963) and Marc Mariani (1,530 in 2010).

CB KAIIR ELAM

  • Made his Titans debut.

LB CEDRIC GRAY

  • Led the team with nine tackles.
  • With 114 tackles through the first 12 games of 2025, he became the third Titans player since 2000 to record at least 110 tackles in the first 12 games of a season (GSIS tackle statistics), joining Stephen Tulloch (127 in 2010) and Azeez Al-Shaair (114 in 2023).
  • Joined Miami's Jordyn Brooks and Detroit's Jack Campbell as the NFL's first three linebackers in 2025 to tally over 100 tackles with at least seven tackles for loss.

CB KEMON HALL

  • Made his Titans debut.

CB MARCUS HARRIS

  • Started his second consecutive game at cornerback and logged four tackles.

P JOHNNY HEKKER

  • Averaged 46.4 gross yards and 39.6 net yards on five punts.

TE GUNNAR HELM

  • Tied for the team lead with six receptions for 23 yards. His six receptions tied his career high.
  • His 36 receptions in 2025 rank second in franchise history among franchise rookie tight ends. Only Bo Scaife (37 in 2005) had more.

S AMANI HOOKER

  • Recorded four tackles, including a tackle for loss, before leaving the game with an injury.

WR VAN JEFFERSON

  • Totaled 20 yards on three receptions.

DE SEBASTIAN JOSEPH-DAY

  • Appeared in his 100th NFL game (regular season).
  • Recorded three tackles.

DL JAMES LYNCH

  • Notched his first pass defensed of the season, tipping a Trevor Lawrence pass in the third quarter.
  • Added a tackle.

TE CHIG OKONKWO

  • Led the offense with 29 receiving yards on four receptions.
  • Concluded the game with a team-high 39 receptions and 406 receiving yards in 2025. He became the franchise's fourth player to begin his NFL career with four consecutive seasons in which he posted at least 30 receptions and 400 receiving yards, joining wide receivers Ernest Givins (nine straight seasons), Charlie Hennigan (six) and Kendall Wright (four).

RB TONY POLLARD

  • Led the team with 60 rushing yards on 10 attempts and added a three-yard reception.
  • Rushed for a 15-yard gain on an attempt during the offense's first possession.

WR JAMES PROCHE II

  • Registered a 13-yard reception.

WR XAVIER RESTREPO

  • Caught a 15-yard pass in the fourth quarter before exiting with an injury.

DT JEFFERY SIMMONS

  • Sacked Trevor Lawrence for a loss of 10 yards on third down in the third quarter.
  • The sack marked his 10th tackle for loss of the season, securing his third consecutive season with double-digit tackles for loss.
  • His 10 tackles for loss were the most among NFL defensive tackles through the early slate of games on Nov. 30.
  • Totaled six tackles and an additional quarterback hit.

K JOEY SLYE

  • Made a 28-yard field goal to cap the team's opening drive.

RB TYJAE SPEARS

  • Tied for the team lead with six receptions for 25 yards. His six receptions tied his career high.

QB CAM WARD

  • Completed 24 of 38 passes for 151 yards and added a seven-yard rushing attempt for a first down.
  • Recorded his fourth consecutive game without throwing an interception.
  • Extended his streak to 143 pass attempts without throwing an interception. At the conclusion of the game, it was the second-longest active streak in the NFL behind the 156 consecutive attempts without an interception by Atlanta's Michael Penix Jr.
  • Became the third rookie quarterback in franchise history to start at least 12 games in a season, along with Vince Young (13 starts in 2006) and Marcus Mariota (12 in 2015). Ward previously became the first quarterback in franchise history to start at least the first six games of his rookie campaign.

OLB JIHAD WARD

  • Sacked Trevor Lawrence for a loss of seven yards in the second quarter. It gave him 23.5 career sacks and 4.5 in 2025.
  • Totaled two tackles and an additional quarterback hit.
  • His 4.5 sacks in 2025 are 0.5 sacks shy of his career high in a season. He had five sacks as a member of the New York Giants in 2023.

S KEVIN WINSTON JR.

  • Brought down Trevor Lawrence for a loss of 10 yards in the first quarter. It was Winston's first career sack.
  • Recorded eight tackles to rank second on the team.
  • His 18 total tackles from Week 12 to Week 13 were the most by a Titans rookie safety over any two-game span since the beginning of the 2000 season, surpassing the 16 tackles by Kevin Byard in Weeks 9-10 of 2016 (GSIS tackle statistics).

S XAVIER WOODS

  • Made his 120th NFL start. He became the sixth player from Louisiana Tech to start 120 NFL games.
  • Logged two tackles in his return to action after missing the previous three games.
