TEAM NOTES

  • The Titans played their second-to-last road game of the season. Their lone remaining road trip is at Jacksonville in Week 18. Prior to the season finale, they return to Nissan Stadium against the Kansas City Chiefs (Dec. 21) and New Orleans Saints (Dec. 28) over the next two Sundays.
  • For the third consecutive game, the Titans had a season-high 11 rookies participate in the contest.
  • For the fifth time in 2025 and for the second consecutive week, the Titans won the turnover battle. They were plus-one against the 49ers with one takeaway (fumble recovery) and no giveaways.
  • The Titans scored a touchdown off their one takeaway, giving them 21 points off turnovers in a two-game span, in addition to three points at Cleveland following a blocked punt.
  • The Titans offense averaged 6.8 yards per rushing attempt (20 for 136), while the 49ers averaged 3.6 yards per attempt (38 for 138).

TEAM NOTES - OFFENSE

  • The Titans offense did not allow a sack in the game, marking the first such occasion for the team since Oct. 13, 2024 against Indianapolis.
  • For the first time since Oct. 13, 2020 against Buffalo, the Titans did not allow a sack or commit a turnover in a game.
  • It was the third time in 2025 in which the Titans did not commit a turnover.
  • The Titans scored 24 points at San Francisco after scoring 31 points in the previous game at Cleveland, marking their first back-to-back games with 24 or more points since Dec. 15-22, 2024.
  • The Titans scored 14 points in the fourth quarter, their second-highest total of the season (16 at Arizona on Oct. 5).
  • The Titans offense's 306 total yards ranked third for the team through 14 games in 2025.
  • A week after rushing for a season-high 184 yards at Cleveland, the Titans accumulated 136 rushing yards at San Francisco for their second-highest total of the season.
  • Tight end Gunnar Helm and wide receivers Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike became the first rookie trio in Titans/Oilers history to record 300 receiving yards each. Ayomanor leads the group with 370 receiving yards, followed by 347 by Helm and 301 by Dike. They previously became the first rookie trio in franchise annals with 30 receptions each.

TEAM NOTES - DEFENSE

  • The Titans held 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey to 23 yards on eight carries in the first half. The 2.9-yard average per carry was McCaffrey's lowest number in a first half this season in any game in which he recorded at least eight attempts through two quarters.
  • Tennessee allowed McCaffrey 87 yards on 23 touches (22 carries, one reception). The running back's 3.8 yards per touch was his second-lowest average of the season (3.1 at Cleveland on Nov. 30).
  • Despite 38 carries, their second-highest rushing attempt total of the season, San Francisco finished with a 3.6-yards-per-carry average. That was the sixth-lowest average of any team with at least 38 rushing attempts (including scrambles and kneels) in 2025 through the afternoon slate of games of Dec. 14.
  • Six Titans logged at least seven tackles at San Francisco: Cedric Gray (16), Kendell Brooks (eight), Amani Hooker (seven), Jeffery Simmons (seven), Marcus Harris (seven) and T'Vondre Sweat (seven). Brooks, Harris and Sweat all set career-highs with seven stops.

WR ELIC AYOMANOR

  • Caught a 17-yard pass in the first quarter.

LB JOE BACHIE

  • Led the team with two tackles on special teams.

CB DARRELL BAKER JR.

  • Recorded five tackles.

LB CODY BARTON

  • Recorded five tackles.

S KENDELL BROOKS

  • Saw extensive action on defense in a reserve role due to injuries in the secondary.
  • Recorded a career-high eight tackles, which ranked second on the defense.

WR CHIMERE DIKE

  • Caught four passes for 17 yards and added 90 kickoff return yards on four attempts.
  • With an NFL-high 2,084 all-purpose yards in 2025, he has logged the sixth season in franchise history with 2,000 all-purpose yards. The previous instances were Derrick Mason in 2000 (2,690), Chris Johnson in 2009 (2,509), Derrick Henry in 2020 (2,141), Billy Cannon in 1961 (2,043) and Mason in 2001 (2,004).
  • His 1,413 kickoff return yards in 2025 rank second in franchise history behind Marc Mariani's 1,530 in 2010.

CB KAIIR ELAM

  • Recovered a fumble caused by a Jeffery Simmons strip-sack in the fourth quarter and returned the ball nine yards. The Titans offense scored a touchdown two plays later.
  • It was his second career fumble recovery and his first since Nov. 3, 2024 against Miami as a member of the Buffalo Bills.

LB CEDRIC GRAY

  • Finished with a team-leading 16 tackles before leaving the game with an injury. It was his third game of the season with at least 15 tackles, and only Las Vegas' Devin White (four) has more such games in 2025.
  • His 11 tackles in the first half were the most by a Titans defender since at least the 2000 season (GSIS tackle statistics). There were five prior occasions over that span in which a TItans defender reached 10 tackles in the first half. The last Titans player with 11-plus tackles in any half was Michael Griffin with 12 in the second half at San Diego on Sept. 16, 2012.
  • Increased his season total to 140 tackles. In doing so, he became the team's second player since the beginning of the 2000 campaign to reach 140 tackles in the first 14 games of a season (GSIS tackle statistics), joining Stephen Tulloch (145 in 2010).
  • Became the first Titans player to record five tackles in the first quarter since Roger McCreary had five against the Chargers on Sept. 17, 2023.
  • His 140 tackles in 2025 ranked third in the NFL through the late afternoon games of Sunday, Dec. 14.

OLB JAYLEN HARRELL

  • Recorded his first career solo sack in the second quarter, dropping Brock Purdy for a loss of three yards.
  • Logged two tackles and an additional quarterback hit.

CB MARCUS HARRIS

  • Logged a career-high seven tackles and a pass defensed, defending a pass intended for Kendrick Bourne in the third quarter.

P JOHNNY HEKKER

  • Averaged 45.3 gross yards and 39.3 net yards on three punts with one punt placed inside the 20.
  • In the third quarter, he pinned the 49ers on their own five-yard line with a 56-yard punt.
  • Added a special teams tackle.

TE GUNNAR HELM

  • Led the team with 49 receiving yards and tied for the team lead with four receptions.
  • Scored his second career touchdown on a career-long 34-yard catch in the second quarter.
  • With 347 receiving yards in 2025, he moved past Ben Troupe (329 in 2004) and Chris Dressel (316 in 1983) for the second-most receiving yards in franchise history by a rookie tight end, trailing only Chig Okonkwo (450 in 2022).
  • With his first reception of the game–his 38th reception of 2025–he surpassed Bo Scaife (37 in 2005) for the most receptions in franchise history among rookie tight ends.
  • He now has 41 receptions on the season, which ranked fifth among NFL rookie tight ends through the late afternoon games of Dec. 14.
  • His 347 receiving yards ranked sixth among NFL rookie tight ends through the late afternoon games of Dec. 14.

S AMANI HOOKER

  • Recorded seven tackles and a pass defensed, breaking up a pass intended for Jauan Jennings on third down in the second quarter.

WR VAN JEFFERSON

  • Caught a 43-yard pass from Cam Ward in the fourth quarter to set up a Titans touchdown on the ensuing play. It was his longest reception of the season.

DE SEBASTIAN JOSEPH-DAY

  • Logged two tackles, including a tackle for loss.

RB KALEL MULLINGS

  • On his first career rushing attempt, he picked up three yards and a first down on third-and-one in the second quarter.
  • Added a special teams tackle.

TE CHIG OKONKWO

  • Tied for the team lead with four receptions for 33 yards.
  • On consecutive snaps in the second quarter, he recorded catches of 17 yards and 10 yards.
  • With a team-high 459 receiving yards in 2025, he secured his fourth consecutive season with at least 450 receiving yards, joining Frank Wycheck (seven consecutive seasons) and Delanie Walker (five) as the only tight ends in franchise history to do so.
  • By increasing his career total to 1,916 receiving yards, he exceeded Mike Barber's total (1,886) for seventh place in franchise history among tight ends.

RB TONY POLLARD

  • Rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries (7.4 avg.) and added an eight-yard reception.
  • Notched his 12th career 100-yard rushing game.
  • After the previous week's 161 rushing yards, he produced back-to-back 100-yard rushing performances for the second time in his career (Oct. 30–Nov. 13, 2022).
  • Became the first Titans player with 100-yard rushing performances in consecutive games since Derrick Henry accomplished the feat in three straight contests from Dec. 11-24, 2022.
  • Scored on a six-yard run in the fourth quarter, giving him five rushing touchdowns in 2025 and 33 in his career.
  • Produced a 22-yard rushing attempt in the first quarter and a 20-yarder in the fourth quarter.
  • With 1,026 scrimmage yards in 2025 (847 rushing and 179 receiving), he notched his fifth consecutive season with 1,000 scrimmage yards.
  • Through the late Sunday afternoon games of Dec. 14, his 265 rushing yards from Week 14 to Week 15 were the most in the NFL.
  • His 265 rushing yards from Week 14 to Week 15 were the most in any two-game span in his career.

WR JAMES PROCHE II

  • Logged his second career start and his first in a Titans uniform.

DT JEFFERY SIMMONS

  • Finished with seven tackles, a strip-sack and a one-yard touchdown reception.
  • Became the NFL's first player since J.J. Watt in 2014 with a strip-sack and touchdown reception in the same game. It was only the sixth time since individual sacks became an official statistic in 1982 that a player accomplished the feat.
  • With his strip-sack on Brock Purdy in the fourth quarter, Simmons recorded his ninth sack of the season, a new career high.
  • Posted his fifth career strip-sack and his first since Week 1 at Denver.
  • After his strip-sack, the fumble was recovered by Kaiir Elam and returned nine yards. Two plays later, Simmons reported eligible on offense and recorded his second career touchdown reception (Nov. 19, 2023 at Jacksonville) on a pass from Cam Ward. He was the first defensive lineman to score an offensive touchdown during the 2025 season.
  • Simmons increased his career sack total to 40.5, becoming the franchise's 12th player to reach 40 sacks and the fifth player to do so in the organization's "Titans era" (1999 to present).
  • Notched two tackles for loss, raising his season total to 14, a new career high.
  • Became the ninth defensive lineman since the 1970 NFL-AFL merger to record multiple touchdown receptions in his career and the franchise's first defensive lineman to do so.

K JOEY SLYE

  • Made a 25-yard field goal in the first quarter and made all three extra point attempts.

RB TYJAE SPEARS

  • Rushed for 34 yards on three attempts and added two yards on a pair of receptions.
  • Registered a 10-yard run to convert a third-and-three in the fourth quarter.

NT T'VONDRE SWEAT

  • Registered a career-high seven tackles.

OL OLISAEMEKA UDOH

  • Registered his third start of the season and his first at left tackle in place of the injured Dan Moore Jr.

QB CAM WARD

  • Completed 18 of 29 passes for 170 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
  • His 101.2 passer rating was the best of his rookie season through 14 games.
  • For the first time in his rookie campaign, he was not sacked.
  • Logged his second consecutive game with two touchdown passes.
  • Found Gunnar Helm for a 34-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, his longest touchdown completion since a 38-yarder in Week 7 against New England.
  • During a two-play span in the fourth quarter, he connected with Van Jefferson for a 43-yard completion and then found defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons on a one-yard touchdown pass.
  • In the first half, he completed 10-of-15 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown, amounting to a 109.3 passer rating. It was his fourth game in 2025 with a passer rating of 100 or better in the first half.
  • Became the first rookie quarterback in franchise history to start at least 14 games in a season, surpassing Vince Young's previous mark of 13 starts as a rookie in 2006.
  • Improved his season passing statistics to 278-of-469 for 2,638 yards with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
  • Became the second rookie in franchise history with 2,500 passing yards in a season (2,638), joining Marcus Mariota (2,818 in 2015).

OLB JIHAD WARD

  • Notched three tackles, including a stop for loss. Brought down George Kittle for a loss of one in the first quarter.

LB JAMES WILLIAMS SR.

  • Posted four tackles, including the first tackle for loss of his career.
