NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Vanderbilt Health Football Center to continue preparations for Sunday's season opener vs the New York Jets.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-Linebacker Cedric Gray has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.
Gray, who entered the concussion protocol after a UTV accident last weekend, has not cleared the protocol, head coach Robert Saleh said.
Saleh said practice squad linebacker Mohamoud Diabate will be one of the team's gameday inactives.
"I love our linebacker room," Saleh said. "I think we have five legit starters. … That group has really stepped up and we'll be fine."
Saleh said he likes rookie Anthony Hill's progress, and he's looking forward to seeing how he develops.
-Hill, the team's second-round draft pick out of Texas, was in the locker room on Friday and discussed his opportunity while looking forward to Sunday.
"Just want to go out there and play fast," Hill said. "It's going to be pretty fun."

-Defensive end Keldric Faulk, listed on the team's Injury Report with a shoulder injury, is good to go, as Saleh said everyone else will be available.
-The Jets ruled OUT Edge Joseph Ossai and WR Tim Patrick for Sunday's game.
CB D'Angelo Ponds and RB Kene Nwangwu are listed as DOUBTFUL.
-On the 25th anniversary of the terrorists attacks in New York City, Saleh discussed the impact the day had on his family, and himself.
Saleh's brother, David, was in one of the Twin Towers. David Saleh got out, but the Saleh family didn't know it until hours after the tower had collapsed.
Robert Saleh said the events of the day changes his path in life.

-Saleh wore a Smyrna High School shirt on Friday, celebrating the school and its head coach after a big win last week.
Saleh said it's going to be part of a weekly tradition to honor high school athletics.
