NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans (0-2) play their first road game of the regular season this week, as they travel to New York to battle the Giants (1-1). Kickoff at MetLife Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. EDT/noon CDT on Sunday, Sept. 27.
THE BROADCAST
The contest will be regionally televised on CBS, including Nashville affiliate WTVF NewsChannel 5, as well as on Paramount+ in the Nashville market. The broadcast team includes play-by-play announcer Andrew Catalon, analyst Logan Ryan and reporter A.J. Ross.
Fans in Nashville can stream live Titans games on mobile devices with NFL+, which offers access to local games and all primetime games on phones and tablets. LAST WEEK AGAINST PHILADELPHIA
In Week 2, the Titans hosted the Philadelphia Eagles. Titans second-year quarterback Cam Ward led a go-ahead drive late in the fourth quarter, but Eagles signal caller Jalen Hurts responded with a two-minute drive that culminated in a game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Darius Cooper with nine seconds remaining in regulation. The Eagles won, 24-20.
Ward, making his 19th career start, was 13-of-20 passing for 183 yards and a 94.4 passer rating, and he also rushed for a pair of touchdowns for the first time in his career. He has not thrown an interception in his past six contests, including the final four games of 2025 and the first two weeks of 2026.
On the defensive side, safety Amani Hooker and cornerback Marcus Harris contributed interceptions against the Eagles. Defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons recorded a sack and a team-high seven quarterback pressures, including a pressure that contributed to Harris' interception.
FAMILIAR FACES
The Titans have several coaches and players with close ties to the Giants. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll was the Giants head coach from 2022 to 2025, while position coaches Carmen Bricillo (offensive line) and Shea Tierney (quarterbacks) also served on the Giants staff. Titans special teams coordinator John Fassel's father, Jim Fassel, was the Giants head coach from 1997 to 2003. Wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson, center Austin Schlottmann, tight end Daniel Bellinger and cornerback Cor'Dale Flott were all signed by the Titans this offseason after previously playing for the Giants.
On the opposite sideline, the current Giants coaching staff consists of some recognizable faces from their time with the Titans. Among those are quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan, the Titans head coach from 2024 to 2025, and defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, who served in the same capacity on Callahan's staff.
THE GIANTS
Giants head coach John Harbaugh arrived in New York during the 2026 offseason following an 18-year run with the Baltimore Ravens. He compiled 180 regular-season victories with the Ravens to move into 14th all-time in the NFL, while his 13 postseason wins are tied for seventh most all-time.
After defeating the division-rival Dallas Cowboys in their opener, the Giants traveled to Los Angeles for a Monday night matchup with the Rams in Week 2. Against the Rams, second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart exited with a knee injury in the first quarter and did not return. He was replaced by 12-year veteran Jameis Winston, but the Rams never trailed in the contest and prevailed by a final score of 28-6.
Dart, who was the 25th overall pick and the second quarterback selected in the 2025 NFL Draft behind Ward, notched his 14th career start prior to leaving the contest.
