NASHVILLE — After playing three consecutive games on the road, the Tennessee Titans (1-5) host the New England Patriots (4-2) this week. Kickoff at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,143) is scheduled for noon CDT on Sunday, Oct. 19.

This is the second consecutive season in which the Patriots have visited Nissan Stadium. On Nov. 3, 2024, the Titans beat the Patriots 20-17 in overtime, giving them wins in three of the past four matchups. However, the Patriots lead the all-time series 26-19-1, including playoffs.

This week also marks the Titans' annual Crucial Catch game. Each NFL team designates one game each season to raise awareness for early cancer detection and risk reduction. Sunday will feature on-field and in-stadium Crucial Catch elements and also present opportunities to honor survivors and those currently battling cancer.

THE BROADCAST

This week's contest will be regionally televised on CBS, including Nashville affiliate WTVF NewsChannel 5, as well as on Paramount+ in the Nashville market. The broadcast team includes play-by-play announcer Andrew Catalon, analysts Charles Davis and Jason McCourty, and reporter AJ Ross.

Fans in Nashville can stream live Titans games on mobile devices with NFL+, which offers access to local games and all primetime games on phones and tablets. Out of market, fans can watch every Sunday afternoon game with Sunday Ticket. More information on ways to watch NFL games can be found at nfl.com/ways-to-watch.

The Titans Radio Network and Nashville flagship 104.5 The Zone carry all Titans games across the Mid-South with play-by-play announcer Taylor Zarzour, analyst Dave McGinnis, executive producer Rhett Bryan, gameday host Lucas Panzica, and sideline reporters Amie Wells and Will Boling.

Additionally, Sports USA will broadcast the game to a national radio audience. Play-by-play announcer Josh Appel and analyst Stephen Gostkowski have the call.

TITANS MOVE FORWARD WITH INTERIM HEAD COACH MIKE McCOY

Sunday marks the first game for the Titans under interim head coach Mike McCoy. He was promoted to the position on Monday, Oct. 13, after joining the team during the 2025 offseason as senior offensive assistant. Now in his 23rd season coaching in the NFL, he previously served as the head coach of the San Diego Chargers from 2013 to 2016 and spent an additional six years as an NFL offensive coordinator.

Beginning this week, the Titans are scheduled to play only one road game until the first Sunday of December. In that seven-week span, they have five contests at Nissan Stadium, a clash next week at Indianapolis (Oct. 26), and a bye in Week 10.

Quarterback Cam Ward, this year's No. 1 overall draft pick, has started each of the Titans' six games to begin the season. He is the first rookie quarterback in franchise history to do so. On 38 passing attempts during last week's loss at Las Vegas, he set a season high with 26 completions and a 68.4 completion percentage.

On the defensive side of the ball at Las Vegas, Titans linebacker Cody Barton tallied his second interception of the season. The defense also combined for eight tackles for loss, including two by Jeffery Simmons, whose tally also included a sack. Simmons has at least one sack in each of the past three games.

THE PATRIOTS

Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel served as the Titans head coach from 2018 through 2023. He is in his first season as New England's head coach after a playing career that included eight campaigns with the team.

Quarterback Drake Maye is in his second NFL campaign after the Patriots chose him with the third-overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. In 2025, the University of North Carolina product has completed 73.2 percent of his passes (131-of-179) for 1,522 yards with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions, amounting to a 112.5 passer rating.

The Patriots won their third consecutive game last week after traveling to New Orleans and beating the Saints 25-19. Maye had three touchdown passes in the victory.
