NASHVILLE, Tenn. —** Titans fans saw the NFL's Color Rush on television last year.
They'll get to see it in person when Thursday Night Football comes to Nissan Stadium next month.
The NFL and Nike on Tuesday morning announced the return of the Color Rush. The Titans will once again be decked out head-to-toe in light blue for their TNF game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on October 27.
A year ago, eight NFL clubs took the field in Color Rush uniforms. On Tuesday, the NFL and Nike unveiled Color Rush uniforms for all 32 NFL clubs. Each club's Color Rush uniform takes inspiration from both its current and historic uniform colors and designs, combined with progressive innovation that will set the tone for the future of the game and light up Thursday Night Football.
Titans linebacker Derrick Morgan was among the players who modeled the jerseys last year prior to them being worn against the Jaguars, who wore gold.
"Everything is baby blue – the socks, the cleats, everything,' Morgan said after trying on the uniforms prior to last year's game. "It flows well, everything is coordinated the right way."
One hundred percent of the NFL's proceeds from the sale of Color Rush jerseys will go directly to the NFL Foundation to fund health, safety and wellness programs for youth around the country. The NFL Foundation is the league's nonprofit organization representing all 32 clubs and funds grants to support athletes, youth football and the communities which support our great game. The first $500,000 raised from this initiative will be earmarked to replace youth and high school football equipment and fields lost in last month's devastating floods in Louisiana.
