NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Here's a look at the developments from the day:

-Five players have officially been ruled OUT for Sunday's game:

Cornerback Jalyn-Armour-Davis (Achilles)

Tight end Gunnar Helm (toe).

Receiver Van Jefferson (forearm).

Edge Arden Key (hip).

Edge Femi Oladejo (fibula).

-Safety Amani Hooker (ankle/toe) is DOUBTFUL for Sunday's game. Hooker did not practice all week.

-The Titans placed Bryce Oliver, Femi Oladejo, and edge Ali Gaye on the team's Designated to Return to Practice list on December 17.

This designation opened up a three-week window for all three players to practice with the team, and they will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

All three players practiced on Friday, and while Oladejo was ruled out, interim coach Mike McCoy said there's a chance Oliver and/or Gaye could play on Sunday after both of them practiced in full on Friday.

"Yeah, there's a chance," McCoy said. "We'll make those—we got to have a couple of discussions on how we're going to put the 48 together because there's some decisions we have to make, so there's chance for those guys."

-Linebacker Cody Barton returned to practice on Friday after missing on Wednesday and Thursday for personal reasons.

Barton had a good reason.

On Friday, Barton beamed when talking about the birth of his son, Bleu Joseph Barton:

-Titans rookie Chimere Dike will be the extra captain for Sunday's game.

Now, for rest of injury updates from Friday:

-DT Jeffery Simmons (NIR-Rest) practiced in full and is good to go.

-OLB Jihad Ward (ankle) practiced in full and is good to go.

-Guard Kevin Zeitler (groin) was limited in practice but is good to go.

The Titans are scheduled to hold a walkthrough on Saturday. The team will travel to Jacksonville on Saturday for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
