Biography

PRO: The Titans signed Amani Oruwariye (OH-roo-WAR-ee-yay) during the 2025 offseason to bring veteran experience to the cornerbacks room. The Penn State product was originally a fifth-round selection of the Detroit Lions in the 2019 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2-inch, 205-pound cornerback spent his first fours seasons with the Lions (2019-22) before playing with the Dallas Cowboys in 2024. Oruwariye also spent time on the New York Giants' and Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squads in 2023. Among cornerbacks drafted in 2019, his 27 career passes defensed ranks fifth.

• Oruwariye's six interceptions in 2021 are the most ever in a single season by a NFL cornerback who attended Penn State.

• As a redshirt freshman (2015), appeared in 13 games, primarily on special teams. Notched five tackles and one pass defensed.
• As a true freshman (2014), redshirted and did not appear in any games.
• Graduated from Penn State with a bachelor's degree in telecommunications in December 2017.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Gaither (Fla.) High School, racking up 121 tackles and 12 interceptions as a defensive back. Blocked four kicks on special teams during his senior season and earned first-team all-district honors. Helped the Cowboys win the 2012 Class 7-A District Championship. Rated a three-star recruit and a Top 100 recuit by Rivals and 247Sports.
