Joe Arcudi from Merrimack, New Hampshire
Question: Very very early......but I can see another top 5 pick coming. I think the defense will be underrated again, but I just do not see this Oline being that much better. I know we have more qualified people per say, but I am just not sure about our LT. I spoke with a Steeler fan friend of mine who is VERY knowledgeable and he said they called Moore "Revolving door Moore"....ugh this scares me

Jim: You're right, Joe, it's early. As for Moore, he started for the Steelers four years in a row at left tackle. If he was bad, he would've been benched. Personally, I've liked what I've seen from him so far. But, like you said, it's early – they haven't even put the pads on yet. The pads come on Tuesday, for those waiting.

Dennis Hoffmam from Culleoka, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim this is my first time writing to you. With Will Levis, L'Jarius Sneed and Cussenberry suddenly all having injuries reported just before the start of training camp mean anything of concern for you? Seams to me they just want a paycheck but strung the TITANS along till the last minute. None of these guys have shown NOTHING to the organization but overpaid waste of time and money to the team. Time to get rid of all of them

Jim: Hey Dennis. None of these injuries are "new" injuries. Levis had a lingering shoulder injury he'd been dealing with, and he decided to have surgery. Sneed had a May knee scope and Cushenberry is still recovering from his Achilles injury. The biggest concern for me is Sneed, simply because he's been hurt since he's been here. It sounds like he's a few weeks from returning, but he's going to have to prove he can stay healthy. Cushenberry is getting closer to returning, and he certainly does not deserve to be bashed and belittled. He suffered a serious injury playing football, and he's busted his butt for nine months to get healthy. He's getting close. Loved you in Rain Man, btw.

Bill Caldwell from Lebanon, Tennessee
Question: Morning Jim, so the issue of retirement comes to mind with players opting to do this the last two years. Curious about the specifics of NFL retirement. How is pay structured, when can the player opt to be active again. Timing just before camp starting seems a bit unprofessional. Also the way players seem to schedule surgeries late in the pre season period, often surprising management when surgery could easily be arranged much earlier. Prayers for a solid season. TITAN Strong.

Jim: Hey Bill. Well, when a player like Lorenzo Carter retires, then he simply doesn't get his contract for the season. I don't know the specifics of Carter's situation, but if I guy isn't 100 percent in and ready to play football, then that's the time to call it a career. I don't consider it unprofessional. I'd rather a guy be up-front about it.

Eli Decko from Youngwood, Pennsylvania
Question: Will Levis out for the season. The offensive line is going to be a free pass to the QB with Dan Moore over there. Yes it is 100% a fact I watched every Steeler game and went to a couple last year. Dan Moore is worse than Andre Dillard and Latham combined. He was the worst in almost every metric and he was second to worse in one of them. Cam is going to get destroyed behind that line. So with that being said, the Titans have 3 QBs and none of them are really starting caliber QBs. Cam is yet to play a snap so until you do something in the league, you've done Nothing in the league and that is the general consensus in the NFL not my opinion. So what do they do? Seeing someone in camp and being like "Dan Moore looked good" is a crap take. Kenny Pickett while in Pittsburgh never had a ball hit the ground, i saw it with my own two eyes as I worked at SVC and watched it all. But he was horrible as a QB on live reps. Mostly due to him knowing he wasn't allowed to get hit in camp and then he got destroyed cuz the horrible line in Pittsburgh. Pickett was an ACC QB as well as Cam and Pickett didnt have much better Line in college than Ward did. Is there a plan, cuz there never seems to be one outside of when Vrabel and Fisher were the coaches. Thanks.

Jim: Hey Eli. Glad to see you back in here. Man, you've really dialed up the doom and gloom lately, even more than normal. It's July, enjoy the summer.

Richard Robles from Springfield, Tennessee
Question: Hi, I got to take pictures with the cheerleaders during the practice yesterday. I could see what's going on. I hope that Khalil Mack will be in the Tennessee Titans because he's the good linebacker and we need to acquire him from the Los Angeles Chargers to get his career going!

Jim: Good deal, Richard. Hope you had a big time.

Bud Stein from Jacksonville, Florida
Question: GA Jim. Quiet Bud in Jax Country. Hope all is well. I'm breaking my silence LOL. No disrespect Cam Ward is not the savior for the Titans and now Brandon Allen the backup! RU KIDDIN ME CMON MAN Titans too proud to sign Ryan Tannehill if he even wanted to comeback? Whats wrong with this picture??? Jury already was in b4 news of Levis Not me ESPN GOOD MORNING FOOTBALL GET UP AND OTHERS 4 wins for the titans in 2025 Maybe now they will deduct Take care Jim

Jim: Duval is wearing on you, Bud.

Taylor Moore from Tennessee
Question: What is your record prediction for the Tennessee Titans in the 2025 - 2026 NFL season?

Jim: Hey Taylor. I don't do predictions any more. If I predicted 12-5, I'd be called a homer. If I predicted 5-12, folks would say, "This guy works for the team, and he thinks they'll stink." I'll leave that to others.

Jefferson Pendergrass from Rainsville, Alabama
Question: Hi Jim. Do you know what has become of former Tennessee Titans 2021 first-round draft-pick (Number 22 overall) Caleb Farley? That is, has he been invited to compete at any other NFL team's training camp or is he on any NFL roster that you know of?

Jim: Hey Jefferson. Caleb spent the end of the last season with the Panthers, but he hasn't been re-signed and remains a free agent.

Mitch Wilson from Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Question: Jim, I'm disappointed. I was looking forward to the competition between Ward and Levis for QB1. I don't think either is the markedly better QB. I believe a rookie QB's success depends more on where they land in the draft than it does on their talent. Rookies landing on bad teams, where even veteran QBs would fail, often don't get a second chance. Rookie QBs who land behind a veteran QB and get a chance to develop before they are thrown into the lions' den have a much better chance for a distinguished NFL career. Hard to argue with this when you look at career paths of QBs Like Brady, Rogers and Love to name a few. If the O-line even marginally improves this year, Levis would have felt blessed. He has not played behind a decent O-line since his junior year in college. How much would a quality O-line improve Levis' performance? The last time he played behind a decent O-line there was a lot of talk about him going as pick1-1. I think Malik Willis has a more definitive answer. The Titans kept Levis as their QB and traded Willis to the Packers. In Green Bay, Willis' performance improved drastically in a very short time. Willis returned to TN and and soundly defeated the Titans with Levis at QB. Due to a Love injury, Willis started multiple games for the Packers, played respectably and ended the season with a much better reputation than Levis. Why? The Packers O-line was much better which allowed their coaching staff to manage the young QB in a way that exploited his strengths and managed his weaknesses. If not undergoing surgery, would Levis' experience behind an improved offensive line enable him to outshine Ward and seize the starting job before season's end? All else being equal, experience matters...a lot. My money was on Levis. Not because he is more talented. I think his experience gave him a distinct advantage. Ward, on the other hand, is coming from a progression of college teams that protected him. Now he will be playing behind an offensive line that will be middle of the pack at best against NFL defenses which are bigger, stronger and a whole lot faster than anything he's seen. Ward is going to be facing more pressure than he faced at any time against any team in college. How will he handle it? Will he get rattled? Will he make bad decisions? What did his scouting report say????? How much will the O-line have to improve for Ward to be successful and justify his pick at 1-1? How will the HC/GM manage Ward? Will they lay the success or failure of the whole team on Ward's shoulders? Will they have a choice? Will their jobs be riding on Ward's performance this year? All three are probably relieved Levis is out for the season. I don't think they realize the safety net just got yanked out from under them. Levis made a very, very smart decision. No matter how well Levis played, Ward was going to start. Surgery gave Levis a chance to report to his next team at 100 percent. Otherwise, he would have been showing up with a hurt shoulder that might have impacted his performance enough to confirm , maybe falsely, the Titan's decision to trade him. Now if Ward's performance is lower than expected, it looks like the GM/HC wasted pick 1-1. If Levis signs/gets traded to a team with a good O-line and plays to his potential it will even be worse. Everyone NFL wide will realize the Titans lost their franchise QB and wasted pick 1-1. Levis doesn't have to outplay everyone. He just has to play better than Ward, protect the ball, move his new team in the right direction on the W/L column and show improvement. It will cost the GM/HC their jobs and take them years to repair the damage to their credibility. Loyalty runs both ways. Why would a young QB do whats best for the GM/HC and stick around when they never gave him a fair shot at QB1? Electing to have surgery, set Levis up for success on his next team and put Titan management in a very precarious position. He also did Ward a big favor. The GM/HC will only be as successful as Ward. They have to give him everything he wants or go down in flames. Levis is getting smart in a profession that eats its own which bodes well for his future. Do you think Levis will ever don a Titans jersey again or will he be traded? Will they wait until they see how Ward plays? If traded, to whom? Other than Ward, what rookie QB do you think will shine this year? My money is on Tyler Shough

Jim: Let me tell you how the Ward-Levis competition would've gone, Mitch: Ward wouldn't won it, and been named the starter. So many questions in here, Mitch, and a lot of them are impossible to answer at this point. I wish Will the best – I like him. I hope he gets healthy and has a great career.

Have a great weekend everyone!
