NASHVILLE – It's almost time to return to action for the Tennessee Titans.
Coming off the bye weekend, the Titans face the Houston Texans on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
We still have some things to discuss during what's been a long break in the action.
Let's go…

Aiden Green from Carrollton, Texas
Question: Hey Jim, its been a few weeks since I've popped in but I wanted to exchange some thoughts. As a member of the Titans Instagram and Twitter circles I see a lot of people saying we should tank to get the #1 overall pick again so we can trade down and get much more capital. To this I agree and disagree, maybe it is smart to try to get the best pick possible, I want the team to win and I know that they want to win as well.
I know Cam wants to win maybe more than anyone else, and I recognize that by the end of his rookie deal he may want to go somewhere else if the Titans aren't in a winning position.
If I'm being hopeful, I can see the Titans winning maybe two more games, one of them being vs the Saints or Browns, which I'll be at the Browns game so maybe that'll be it. Hopefully.
My main question is: I know it's almost pointless looking at the draft this early, but do you have any ideas as to what positions we will be looking into the most? I know the biggest needs are Corners and Offensive Line. There's amazing college players everywhere, notably some like Caleb Downs and Carnell Tate, both OSU guys, as well as guys like Jeramiah Love or Reuben Bain who are supposed to go pretty high. Do you have any hopes as to who the Titans will take? And do you think they will end up trading down into the Draft for more picks, similar to how Borgonzi has mentioned he wants lots of draft capital. Thanks for all you do
Jim: Hey Aiden. It's a tough time of the year for sure, when you're 1-8, and folks are split on how they want this season to end. The Titans need to win some games, to build some confidence, show improvement, and get a break from all the negativity that goes with losing. But I also understand the feeling from some who want the first overall pick, because that could be turned into some serious draft capital. What does the team need? Heck, what doesn't the team need? I look at this roster and see where help is needed across the board, but especially at edge rusher and cornerback on defense. This offense needs more help at the receiver position. I see holes and areas for improvement all over the roster, though. I'm not going to start naming prospects I'd prefer, because we don't know all the players who will be available, and we don't know where the Titans will ultimately pick.
Jack Walker from Calabasas, California
Question: Hey Jim, just reading the bye-week mailbag. Lots of questions or comments about Will Levis. Your response was that Ward will start in 26, Levis may or may not be on the team. Logic says that's weird... Because statistically... Through 9 games, Ward is a worse QB than Levis. But let me read the tea leaves for other Titans fans. Ward was chosen R1P1 in the 25 draft. The jobs, pride and reputation of a dozen or so top floor execs are riding on Ward becoming a QB worthy of that draft pick. An open competition for QB in 26 would be admitting failure. If Ward fails again in 26, we will probably see wholesale changes in the front office and another new QB, like Arch Manning in the 27 draft. Not to mention the financials... Ward is on an expensive 4 year contract... Jim is right, Ward will play whether he's 17-0 or 0-17.
Jim: Thanks for the feedback, Jack. The franchise picked Cam first overall because they believe in him, and nothing has changed. He was thrown into the fire on a bad team. Yes, Cam needs to play better. But surrounding him with better players will help. By the way, these rookie contracts aren't as big as they used to be, and Borgonzi's fate sure isn't going to be in jeopardy any time soon no matter what happens with Cam.
Aaron Osborne from Gallatin, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim! Just wondered what your thoughts were on the 2026 draft and free agency. I think Mike Borgonzi has an eye for talent and can rebuild this team so I wondering who you think we might pick up in the draft and free agency. Titan Up!
Jim: Hey Aaron. As I discussed with Aiden, this team needs help everywhere.
Harmonee Atcheson from Nashville, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim, I hope you're doing well recently I just wanted to say that I'm a huge titans fan and supporter and have always wanted to meet Will Levis. I still hope it happens one day but Simmons and Ward are definitely doing great this season I just think we need more work on the defense have a great week and titans up!
Jim: Hi Harmonee. I haven't seen Will in a while. He's been rehabbing in California. I'll send my best to Jeff and Cam for you.
Troy Rogers from Sunland, California
Question: Greetings Jim from sunny SoCal, After 24 seasons in Sec 142 Row K, I'm not sure I've seen a poorer product put on the field each week. But I'm still rooting for the Two Tone Blue and hoping for better, But how about the Boys in Blue? Ohtani's 3 home runs and great day on the mound was a thing of beauty. But you are right that nothing ignites the fan base like winning. GO DODGERS!!! (c'mon Titans).
Jim: Hope all is well in Cali, Troy. Go Dodgers!
Monica Sherwin from Antioch, Tennessee
Question: Are gameday giveaways a thing of the past at the gates? I noticed there hasn't been anything for fans the first three games. I always appreciated the small tokens of appreciation like schedule magnets, rally towels, car stickers, etc.
Jim: Hi Monica. It was slim pickings for a while there I know, but looks like they're coming back. Had the Flameheads a few weeks back, and this Sunday rally towels will be the giveaway.
Richard Robles from Springfield, Tennessee
Question: Our draft needs for 2026 are Wide Receivers, Offensive Linebackers and Offensive Tackle. We need to make this happen. The 1st Round pick we need is a Offensive Tackle! This should be a huge NFL Draft.
One more question: Will the Titans get a 2nd win, and which team will the Titans beat to get a 2nd win if you can pick any opponent of your choice to beat.
Jim: Hey Richard. We'll see…
Noah Martin from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee
Question: Are we sure Cam Ward can play good for this other half of the season, and can the defense step up?
Jim: Two big questions, Noah. We'll start to get some answers on Sunday.
Ed Helinski from Auburn, New York
Question: Greetings from New York's Finger Lakes region. Hope all is well.
With it never hurting to get a head start on the holiday season, what should the Titans be asking from Santa this year?
Jim: Hey Ed. If things don't change over the next six weeks, this team is bound to get coal…
Have a great weekend everyone!
