NASHVILLE – It's been a busy March for the Titans.
And, there's been a lot to discuss in here each step of the way, from free agency signings to uniform and logo changes.
Let's keep the conversation going in this Tuesday's Titans mailbag.

Bob Easley from Austin, Texas
Question: Hi Jim, I'm certainly not bragging about being 72 years old but I remember walking into our den at age 6 and seeing my Dad excitingly watching the first year AFL Houston Oilers and I was hooked! My oldest son Jonathan (also a big fan and also a contributor to "Ask Jim") grew up loving those Warren Moon, run-and-shoot Oiler teams from the 80s and 90s. However, my biggest claim to Oiler/Titan loyalty is actually when the Oilers moved to Tennessee. My career had taken us to Chicago and I remember sitting down with Jonathan to discuss what we might do about the Oiler move to Tennessee. We decided, "Hey, we love the team, the organization and the players, let's stick with our guys:)!!" Besides, maybe they moved to Tennessee to be closer to us in Chicago😀- haha. When I moved back to Texas after the Texans had formed - Jonathan insisted "we are Titans for life," so here we are!
Last year, I attended the Texans/Titan game in Houston with my Oiler blue Derrick Henry jersey. We were soundly defeated as I sat surrounded by Texan fans. Hilariously, several of the fans were on my case about the Titans still owning the Oiler blue, one guy in particular was really voicing his anger. I actually think if the Titans had been winning, he may have escalated things further... but my defense was just multiple smiles and shrugs which seemed to keep things from getting out of hand.
So, my reaction to the recent Titan uniform change was another smile thinking this move will be an "in your face" move to some Texan fans and will undoubtedly build upon our division rivalry.
So, when I'm at the Texans/Titan game in Houston this year, I'll be wearing my smile and shrug for protection and if Jonathan gets me a new design Titan shirt for my birthday:), I'll wear that also!!! Titanup💪❗️
Jim: Great story, Bob. And you should be proud of 72!
I know most long-time fans of the team, dating back to the Oilers days, love the rebrand.
Most of the Titans fans I've interacted with, those who got on board after the move to Tennessee, seem to like the new look, too, but clearly not everyone. And, I totally get it because the "Titans" history is all they know and care about. As for the Texans fans, they need to get over it, or at least study up on NFL history. Stay strong down there Bob!
Jamie Stapleton from Stoney Creek, Ontario
Question: Hey Jim. Just curious about Kevin Zeitler. I am a little surprised Tennessee didn't bring him back even on another one-year deal. The O line has been such an issue the last few years, Kevin seems like a good fit even for a depth piece if they want to go younger.
Jim: Hi Jamie. I don't think the door has closed on Kevin, who came in and did a pretty solid job last year despite being banged up. But I've seen him linked to several other teams as well. The Titans do still need help in the interior.
Chris Berry from Cleveland, Tennessee
Question: Joining the recent conversations; I'm a relatively new convert to Titans fandom as I started watching the NFL around 2007 and became a full-fledged Titans fan in 2009 when I moved to Nashville for 3 years. I never watched the Oilers but I do really like the rebrand. Lots of teams have Navy, but the Titans blue is unique and the new helmet logo feels like it will stand the test of time better. I do love the home jerseys much more than the all white. Wish the all white had some more pop somewhere.
To the draft; I recently saw a PFF mock that the Titans trading up to #2 for Love. That feels like a terrible idea to give up the draft capital to move up. I think the Titans are in a great spot to sit at 4 and take their favorite of Styles, Reese, or Love depending on who remains. (Assuming Mendoza goes early
Jim: It's always interesting to hear what folks like – I've heard from some fans who like the all white uniforms the most. As for the draft, this is the first I've heard about speculation of the Titans moving up. Let's just say I'd be very surprised to see that happen.
Eli Patnesky from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Question: Hey Jim, it's been a while since I wrote and I hope you are doing well. I have a question about our jerseys and our new stadium being built. First, do you think the Titans will be getting a new alternate jersey. I was thinking a red would look nice with the color scheme. And second, do you think the new Nissan stadium could potentially host a Super Bowl. I think Tennessee would be a great place to host. I'm looking forward to the draft being in Pittsburgh this year. I'm hoping we get Jeremiah Love. Have a good week and Titan Up.
Jim: Hey Eli. The Titans will have a Rivalry Uniform, which will be worn once this season.
Bill Holmes from Fairport, New York
Question: Hi Jim, been a while. Hope you and yours are happy and healthy.
Lots of spending and holes getting plugged (making me think Jeremiyah Love is our target pick). But it sure seems like we are signing mostly Giants and Jets players the coaches worked with before. Now I get that familiarity gives you an edge in knowing these guys on and off the field, but should I be concerned that so many are from two teams that have consistently underperformed?
Jim: Hey Bill. I wouldn't worry just because the teams haven't fared well. There are good players all over the league, even on bad teams. And what Robert Saleh (and clearly Brian Daboll, too) have done is speak up and vouch for guys they consider good players, and good culture fits. Also of note: The Titans finished 3-14 last season, which tied for the worst record in the league. But already 10 players off last year's squad have been signed by other teams.
Jason Vesely from Mosinee, Wisconsin
Question: The Titans new uniforms went back to old school to when they were the Oilers in those although these new ones though are a collaboration of what the Titans are that keeps the identity of the team. I like the look of it, and the Titans should expand on that how about bringing back the silver helmet and pants and the Columbia blue scarlet red and white striped socks and keeping the Titans fireball look logo on the helmet that goes with that outfit.
Jim: Hey Jason. What you see is what you'll get with the uniforms.
Reinaldo Roman from Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Question: I hope you're doing well. I'm really excited about the team's recent free-agency signings. With those additions in place, I'm curious how you'd approach the first two rounds of the draft. Which of these two options would you prefer?
Option 1:
Round 1 -Jeremiyah Love
Round 2 - Best available edge rusher (release Tony Pollard and give Calvin Ridley one more year).
Option 2:
Round 1 - Best available edge rusher.
Round 2 - Best available wide receiver
(release Calvin Ridley and give Tony Pollard one more year).
Personally, I like the idea of Ridley, Robinson, and Love (and of course Helm, Dike, and Ayomanor). But I can also envision the Titans going edge rusher with the first pick. That would be a scary defense! Maybe even a top 5 defense.
Either way, I'm excited to see what the Titans do in the draft. I'm sure they won't disappoint. Take care and Titan up!
Jim: Oh man, this is a tough one, Reinaldo. I really like Jeremiyah Love myself, and have covered some great running backs, from Eddie George to Chris Johnson to Derrick Henry. But this team also needs help at edge rusher, and some good ones will be available. With Calvin Ridley reaching a renegotiated contract with the team, does this change your option 2?
Ricky Wright from Nashville, Tennessee
Question: Hello Jim. Hope all is well...this isn't really a question more of a thank you for covering our team so well keep up the good work im excited for September...Titan Up and Love Bailey or Bain at 4 fingers crossed 🤞
Jim: I appreciate you taking the time, Ricky. Will always do my best.
Cindy Osborn from Bisbee, Arizona
Question: Hey Jim. Long time reader; first time writer. I have always been a big TN Titans fan. When I moved to AZ I immediately ordered NFL Sunday Ticket so I could continue to watch my Titans play. Birthday and Christmas gifts from family back in TN were always Titans related since it was difficult to get such here. Trips back to TN to visit family were timed to attend a Titans home game and the occasional Titans game in AZ was always a YES! No need to go on; you get the picture.
Not a fan of the new logo or uniforms. Makes me think perhaps they still want to be Houston Oilers. If so, send 'em back to Houston. I am very happy to have so many jerseys and other Titans stuff, because I will not be spending money on the new "TN Oilers". Like others have said, I feel the TN Titans just lost their brand/identity. And as a long-time fan, I feel like it has been a slap in the face. We accepted the franchise from Houston and dealt with the transition years. We've stood by player changes, coaching changes and too many losing seasons. We love our team. Can't we just be the TN Titans now?!
Other franchises have relocated in the past; some have changed team names…..do they still cling to their old identity? Thanks for "listening".
Jim: Hi Cindy! I appreciate you taking the time, and, as I've said in here before: I can't tell anyone how they should feel about it. I can also understand why some Titans fans have been reluctant to get on board. Just remember it's still your team, just in a different wardrobe. I hope it's cooling down out there – I'm headed that way soon for the NFL owners meetings.
Jefferson Pendergrass from Rainsville, Alabama
Question: Hi Jim, this is not a question, but rather a plea. That is, if you, Jim Wyatt, will give me the opportunity to use this platform to make my plea to general manager Mike Borgonzi. Please, please Mr. Borgonzi, draft Jeremiyah Love with the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft! I mean no disrespect to any elite edge rusher, but NOTHING charges the fan base and brings more electricity, excitement, and juice to an organization than a superstar running back who has the potential to break a run for a 60, 80, or 90 yard touchdown at any time! To me, the most exciting Tennessee Titans players of all time are Eddie George (68-yard TD vs the Indianapolis Colts), Chris Johnson (94-yard TD vs NY Jets), and Derek Henry (99-yard TD vs Jacksonville Jaguars). It is time for the next great superstar running back of the Tennessee Titans to emerge! Please help make that happen by drafting the most exciting and most talented player in the whole draft – Jeremiyah Love! Thank you and God bless the Tennessee Titans!
Jim: I'll pass this along, Jefferson …
Have a great week everyone!
