Question: Hello, Jim! It's been a while since we've talked. Hope your summer was good. Now that the season approaches (finally!), my question is this: Based on what you have seen in practice as well as preseason, is there an area of concern on this TITANS roster?
Jim: Hey Raymond. Hmm. Well, I'll list a couple of spots I consider to be question marks heading into the season. And, if things go well, these areas could end up being strengths, not weaknesses. But at this point, I don't think anyone can say they feel 100 percent certain about the cornerback spot. L'Jarius Sneed hasn't practiced, or played, a lot lately, and he's going to have to prove he can stay healthy. Some other guys need to be good alongside him. If Sneed is able to stay healthy, and he returns to form, that would change things, especially if Jarvis Brownlee keeps improving, and Roger McCreary and Darrell Baker Jr perform well. The receiver spot has three veterans in Calvin Ridley, Van Jefferson and Tyler Lockett, but behind them the team has some unproven players. So, the team is an injury away from needing to rely on those guys. I think the rookies, Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor, are talented, and I like Bryce Oliver, too. But these guys are going to have to prove it while playing with a rookie quarterback. The edge rush position needs guys to produce in a big way as well, and one of those guys is a rookie (Femi Oladejo). We'll start to get some clues on Sunday.

Question: Hi Jim, excited about the coming season but honestly will be surprised if Sweat, Sneed, Zeitler and others aren't gasping in the fourth quarter in our opener. Folks who haven't exerted themselves in Denver can't really appreciate how thin the air is. I may be wrong, but I honestly can't see how the conditioning for those guys can be at a level to play all out for four quarters at Mile High. What's your opinion?
Jim: I can't speak too much about the elevation issues because I've never played football in that altitude.😊 I always go for a run when I land in Denver, and, I admit, I've noticed a difference. But the Broncos have lost 183 games in that stadium over the years, so a lot of teams have been able to figure it out. I'll say this: If the Titans lose on Sunday, it's not going to be because of the altitude. And while some of those guys you mentioned may have some conditioning issues on Sunday after not practicing much of late, the reality is those issues could present themselves even in Nashville.
Al Robertson from Casa Grande, Arizona
Question: Is Callahan going to hold Cam Ward back from what comes natural; a gunslinger!
Jim: Hey Al. The coaches are going to give Cam a chance to win the game.
Michael Banks from Memphis, Tennessee
Question: STATEMENT: DENVER 20<>TITANS 21
Jim: This would definitely be a statement, Michael,
Lorenzo Griffin from Clinton Township, Michigan
Question: Hey Jim! Big Titan fan from Michigan! This is more of a Jim Wyatt question. When did you know this is what you wanted to do for a living? And what would you be doing if you couldn't work in the sports field? I really enjoy your work and appreciate your insights. Bless you and your family! Titanup!
Jim: Great question, Lorenzo. In some ways, I guess I've always known this was something I loved. When I was a kid, I used to listen to games on the radio, and I'd write stories and draw pictures, for my dad. I started writing for the school newspaper in college, where I was an English major. So, writing, and sports, have always been two loves of mine. I've been fortunate to be able to make a profession out. I'm not sure what Plan B would have been.
Jack Walker from Calabasas, California
Question: Hey Jim, here we go. I'm feeling good... Actually have zero expectations this year so no way to be disappointed. I disagreed with the entire off-season, draft and everything but it's a new day and Nashville will be alive and rockin' on Sundays. Go Cam go... And if it doesn't work out it looks like Arch won't leave college ball til the 27 draft.
Jim: I think everyone is ready for Sunday. Can we chill it with the Arch talk until he actually proves himself?
Have a great week everyone!
