QB Will Levis Remains Confident as He Works to Jump-Start Titans Offense

NASHVILLE – Will Levis isn't happy with the results.

The Titans quarterback also knows he can play better than he has over the first five games of the 2024 season.

But Levis made it clear on Wednesday he still has confidence in himself, and he won't get down as he tries to right the ship of a team that's currently 1-4 this season.

Levis acknowledged he was briefly in a tough spot mentally after suffering a right shoulder injury against the Dolphins in Week 4, and it got him down. He vowed to not let his confidence dip moving forward.

"(My confidence is) high," Levis said after today's practice. "I was disappointed how I let myself dip for that brief period of time. But I feel like I am back, and I am not going to let myself lose that again. I think the second you lose that edge it is hard to come back from. You just have to maintain that to be able to go out there and have that confidence and mindset to do what you are capable of.

"So, that's what I am making sure I remind myself of every day, regardless of what my box score or stat line looks like. I know who I am, and at the end of day, numbers, or whatever anyone has to say, doesn't define me."

In five games this season, Levis has completed 83-of-125 passes for 699 yards, and five touchdowns. Levis, however, has thrown seven interceptions, and he's also lost three fumbles.

Levis said he's seen improvement in himself compared to last season, even though he knows there are areas he needs to improve. Coach Brian Callahan has said repeatedly the Titans also need to be better around him.

On Wednesday, the Titans listed Levis as a limited participant in practice, as he continues to deal with lingering issues with the shoulder.

The Titans travel to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Levis said he's working to be the best he can be in practice, and in the training room.

"I am grinding my tail of in there," Levis said. "It's not like an 'it's over" type thing. It's probably something I'll be dealing with here for a little bit," Levis said. "Hopefully we can grind through it and get me to a spot where I'm feeling 100 percent. I am doing the best I can with everything they're having me do."
