NASHVILLE – If the Titans want an edge rusher with the fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft, chances are they're going to have a great option, or two.
Exactly who that might be remains to be seen, however, and NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah said during a conference call on Thursday the debate should continue for months.
In his latest mock draft, Jeremiah has Miami edge rusher Rueben Bain going to the Titans at No.4, after he had the Raiders taking Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza at one, the Jets taking Texas Tech edge David Bailey at two, and the Cardinals taking Miami tackle Francis Mauigoa at three.
Jeremiah has another edge rusher – Ohio State's Arvell Reese – as his third best prospect in the NFL Draft, but doesn't have him going until seventh in the NFL Draft (to the Commanders).
"At the top, the big debate is with these three (edge rushers)," Jeremiah said. "Arvell Reese, how (do) you evaluate him? I like him on the edge, he obviously spent a little more time off the ball at Ohio State, but (is) a real dynamic player. David Bailey provides a little more certainly just in terms of you've seen him play out there, you've seen the production. I think it's pretty easy to see how that translates. And I think that's why there's going to be teams that have him as the top guy.
"And then Rueben Bain is more kind of an identity pick, who just plays so hard and so physical. The dimensions aren't going to be ideal in terms of the length, but there's more that he brings than just what shows up on the stat sheet, just the overall physicality and the toughness that he plays with. I would say most people would have him as the third, with a lot of debate there with the top two guys. And it comes down to really the potential of Arvell Reese vs what you've already seen, and you know you have an elite, elite fastball rusher with David Bailey."
Bain (6-3, 270) led all of FBS with 83 pressures in 2025 while racking up 20.5 sacks and 33.5 tackles for a loss in three seasons at Miami.
Bailey (6-3, 250) tallied 14.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for a loss in 2025 at Texas Tech after playing three years at Stanford.
Reese (6-4, 243) racked up 69 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss and 6.5 sacks in 14 starts at Ohio State in 2025.
The Titans, of course, might not even draft an edge rusher at No.4. The team has needs at other positions as well.
But, if they do…
"I don't know if I'm the Titans that I'd be bummed if I ended up with any of those three guys at the end of the day," Jeremiah said. "If they want to go edge rusher they are going to have three good options, or at least one of those three options is going to be there."
