I just finished my first full day here in Hawaii and I have to say I'm in love!!
The weather is beautiful and the sun was out all day, not that I got to see a lot of it. We started the day with a breakfast all together combined with an orientation. When we arrived, we had pennants with our team logo and individual picture on it, which was a wonderful greeting. We got to know some of the fantastic E2K Directors that will be coordinating our appearances and rehearsals, while they put together the entertainment you will see on Jan 30th.
FOX has some exciting things lined up for this Pro Bowl game and they are taking it to a new level this year. Make sure you pay close attention to the pregame show because we will be performing LIVE with the GooGoo Dolls!!!!!
Our day was mainly spent rehearsing all the material we learned off a DVD we received prior to our arrival. It's truly amazing how 26 women from all different teams with unique dance styles can come together, and within a day, perfect 12 routines and become a whole new team.
After we got through with rehearsal at 4 p.m. local time, we got a short break to get ready for our Pro Bowl photo shoot. Our picture was taken at sunset on rocks in front of the pool. It took about 45 minutes to get us all arranged. You would think it's not that exciting standing (or in my case sitting) on a rock for that length of time, but watching all the fans gather to see the experience was incredible!
After the photo shoot we split up into two groups and signed autographs for 30 minutes. It was nice to get a chance to talk to all the fans that have traveled so far to see the game. We also had to do some video shots for the Jumbotron on game day.
My favorite part of the day was having dinner with some Veterans that got wounded while serving the U.S. overseas. The two I spent the most time with were Rick and Johnny. Just to hear their stories and see their happiness of life was amazing. It really makes you appreciate your freedom when you get to meet the brave soldiers who proudly defend our country.
It's been a long day, so I'm off to bed…see you tomorrow!
