COLLINS REACHES 40,000: Kerry Collins entered the game with 39,906 career passing yards.  In the second quarter, he completed a 53-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Britt, and on the play, he became the 12th player in NFL history to reach the career 40,000-yard passing mark.

BRITT COMES UP BIG: Kenny Britt caught a 53-yard touchdown pass from Kerry Collins in the second quarter.  The play was Britt's sixth career reception of 50-plus yards.

ROOKIE MATTHEWS GETS FIRST ACTION AT CENTER: When starting center Fernando Velasco left the game briefly with an injury in the third quarter, rookie Kevin Matthews received his first career playing time at center.  Matthews, an undrafted product of Texas A&M, had spent most of the season on the practice squad before making his debut on special teams Dec. 19 against the Texans.  His father, Bruce Matthews, played 19 seasons as an offensive lineman with the Oilers/Titans.

WITHERSPOON NOTCHES SECOND INTERCEPTION OF SEASON: On the first play of the fourth quarter, linebacker Will Witherspoon intercepted a Brodie Croyle pass intended for Dwayne Bowe.  It marked Witherspoon's second interception of the season and the 11th of his career.

JONES AND BABIN SPLIT SACK: In the third quarter, Jason Babin and Jason Jones split a six-yard sack of Matt Cassel.  It gave Babin, who entered the game tied for third in the NFL in sacks, a total of 12.5 sacks in 2010.
