From Super Bowl LX: Quandre Diggs Proud of Cousin Cam Ward, and Thinks the Best is Yet to Come for Titans

SAN FRANCISCO – Quandre Diggs watched his cousin Cam Ward grow from a little boy to a man.

In Tennessee, he saw the Titans quarterback go from being an inexperienced rookie to a much more confident, and better, player in one season, after dealing with adversity early.

Diggs, here at Super Bowl LX as a member of the Seattle Seahawks, thinks the best is yet to come.

"I think Cam handled things great," Diggs said. "I'm proud of him. But that's who he is – he is somebody that doesn't get rocked by hard times, and he is going to continue to push through it.

"And, I think as the year went on, he continued to get better and that's all you can ask for. It was definitely a learning experience, but I know he is going to put the work in, and I know he is going to be one of the great ones in this league. There is no question in my mind about that."

Diggs has played in one game this season for the Seahawks, activated from the team's practice squad for a game after being released by the Titans earlier in the season. Diggs played in nine games for the Titans in 2025, making four starts, after playing in eight games for the Titans in 2024.

Ward threw for 3,169 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2025.

His touchdown numbers went up in the second half of the season, while his interception and sack taken went down.

This offseason, the Titans have hired a new head coach (Robert Saleh), offensive coordinator (Brian Daboll) and defensive coordinator (Gus Bradley).

"I think the changes should help him a lot," Diggs said of the Titans. "And I think they have made some changes around him that he'll end up liking, and that is no shade to the other guys that were there, Cally and Dennard and those guys.

"But I just think what has happened, they went and tried to put people around him that have had some experience in it, and I think he'll be just fine."

Diggs, in his 11th NFL season, is at his first Super Bowl.

On addition to his time in Tennessee, he played 4 ½ seasons with the Lions, and two stints with Seattle.

"It's a blessing to be here," Diggs said. "Obviously it took me 11 years to get here, and to be a part of something like this. So, any time I get the opportunity to have a big moment in my life for me and my family, you are definitely honored."

Diggs said he enjoyed his time with the Titans, but acknowledged it was time for a fresh start.

The Titans officially released Diggs back on November 7.

Diggs said he'll be watching the Titans – and Cam – closely, and wishes the team the best.

"I enjoyed my time (in Tennessee)," Diggs said. "Obviously you want to win more, but I enjoyed it to the best of my abilities and I just think it was time for me to come back home and be where I wanted to finish this whole thing out.

"Cam and Jeff (Simmons), those are the building blocks you need. They are great individuals and they are great humans and the guys follow them. They just have to continue to put the parts around with Chim (Dike), and you have Jeff and big (T'Vondre) Sweat, and (Amani) Hooker. There are building blocks and you just have to keep building."
