TITANS HEAD COACH MIKE MULARKEY PRESS CONFERENCE TRANSCRIPT - November 2, 2017**

(on the team's injuries)

A little injury report, Taywan Taylor was not at practice today, personal reasons. (Quinton) Spain did not practice with the toe. Delanie (Walker) did not practice with the ankle. Jack Conklin did not with illness, and Nate Palmer with an ankle that he did yesterday in practice.

(on if he's worried that tight end Delanie Walker hasn't practiced this week)

No, we've got time. I think I mentioned it to you, worrying doesn't do me any good or do anybody any good, there's nothing you can do about it. We'll go as is, we've got a couple of days still.

(on if guard Quinton Spain will be a game-time decision on Sunday)

No, he'll be out.

(on if guard/center Brian Schwenke will be in on Sunday)

Yes.

(on if guard/center Corey Levin could be active on Sunday)

It could be, yes.

(on if Brian Schwenke 'fits right in' with the offense)

Yeah, I don't know what time of the year it was last year, but he stepped in for (Quinton) Spain for a few games and played well for us. He's got a lot of starts under his belt, a lot of them at center, obviously. Got a lot of experience, glad we got him back.

(on if there was any change with safety Johnathan Cyprien)

No, he practiced.

(on facing a physical Ravens team)

That's what we do, I think that's what they do. It'll be a physical game, it will be.

(on the Ravens not being an easy team to improve red zone and third-down struggles against)

I don't know if there's any easy team to do it against, to be honest with you. They're good, they're a good defense. It's been a good defense for a long time. They've been a good third-down defense for a long time. We've got to get better, that's evident from our first seven games. It'll be a good team to get better on.

(on why the Ravens are a good team defensively in the red zone)

Well it's the same scheme for 10 years. They've got a lot of guys that have been there for that long, they've got veteran experience over there. There's not a lot of changes that go on over there. They've got good personnel running a very good scheme.

(on if he's impressed with what he's seen from Ravens running back Alex Collins)

Yeah, he had an opportunity. I thought he's a great example to a lot of players in this league that when you get your opportunity, take advantage of it - and he has and they've recognized it. Giving them a good dose of the run game. Good for him.

(on if wide receiver Corey Davis has continued to progress in practice)

Yeah, he got about the same amount of snaps as yesterday. It was good, he got a lot of good work.

(on if running back DeMarco Murray looked more energized)

DeMarco (Murray) looks good as well. We had a lot of energy again today, probably more than we've had in these other two practices. It was a very, very fast practice, a very good one.

(on if tight end Jonnu Smith will get more playing time with Delanie Walker being injured)

He would be more involved if Delanie (Walker) could not go, yeah, for sure. He would take over that role.

(on if he is happy with Jonnu Smith's progression)

Yeah, I do. I think he's done a lot of good things for us for a young player. He needs to continue to do that, I think we need a lot of young guys in this game to step up and play well. Jonnu (Smith) has done a lot of what we've asked, especially in the run game. He still has plenty of room to improve and I'm pretty sure he'll tell you that same thing.

(on if safety Kevin Byard attracts the attention of offenses)

I don't know, maybe more during the play a quarterback seeing where he's at coverage wise, in the hole as big as it can be or not be with him there or not. I don't know if offenses are going to do anything right now to try to divert away from a safety. Corners, that's a different story.

(on if it is more likely that Kevin Byard causes an opposing quarterback to hesitate)

It'd be more that, I could see that.

(on Kevin Byard 'being on a roll')

He's just a good football player. He's going to be around with the ball a lot because, first of all, he studies a lot of tape, he knows a lot of things that are going to happen before they happen, which is a great advantage. Hopefully he continues on what he's been doing, that's what we drafted him for in the first place. His production of turnovers in college was astronomical, so hopefully it continues.

(on how the return of Ravens defensive tackle Brandon Williams has impacted their run defense)

You've got big bodies inside, he's a very good player, very hard to move, with two guys he's very hard to move. It's very good for their defense and their run stoppage.

(on who the team's emergency kicker is)

That's a good question. Maybe Dennis Kelly, based on the competition in the offseason, they went right to Dennis Kelly. Straight on and they won because of him. That'd be a picture to see, wouldn't in?

(on the distance that guard/tackle Dennis Kelly is good to kick from)

Not far, no. I don't think moving the extra point back helped Dennis (Kelly) at all.

(on if the team would go for two in the event that Dennis Kelly would have to kick)

There's a good chance of that, yeah.
