Tiffany's Update from Alaska (Part II): Alaska has been so incredible. We arrived in Fairbanks on Thursday, and had to pass the North Pole on the way to the Eielson Air Force Base. Of course we had to stop, see some reindeer and take some pictures. What a cute little place.

Our days have been spent being surrounded by wonderful men and women. They never complain, and always seem so positive. We've been able to eat lunch and some dinners with the troops. I'm still just so honored to meet them.
We've had the pleasure of being "coined" now twice. I'm so humbled that they view what we are doing here as worthy of such an honor.
We had a youth clinic yesterday at Fort Wainright. We had a ball teaching them sideline cheers, jumps and dances. This was our second youth clinic we've conducted. The kids are are so thrilled and I love seeing them smile so bright.
Today we will be watching the Super Bowl with the men and women at Fort Wainright and Eielson. I'm really looking forward to today and watching these men and woman kick back and unwind.
I'm so thankful for my very first military tour. It has made me smile, laugh and think.
Tiffany's Update from Alaska (Part I): I arrived in Anchorage, Alaska yesterday evening. After meeting the players, mascots and other cheerleaders joining us, I knew we were going to have a great week.
Everyone is so nice, and we all seem to have a common goal with this trip....to spread some joy to these troops. This is my first military visit, and I've really been looking forward to it.

Today we had some down time earlier in the day, and had originally decided on skeet shooting. For one reason or another we ended up at a shooting range. I have never held or shot a gun in my life. I've always been a bit hesitant and scared. After the encouragement of my new friends, I shot an M4. It was still quite scary for me, but I'm glad I overcame my fear.
We ate lunch with everyone in their mess hall. I loved walking around and talking with the different men and woman. Listening to their stories and hearing them talk about their families was a moment that will always stick with me. They sacrifice so much for this country.
Later that night we went to the Elmendorf-Richardson Base. We signed autographs, took pictures and performed a few dance routines. It's great to see these men and women have the opportunity to let loose for a little while.
